Fill ‘er up folks. Gas prices in Southern California have hit $4.59 a gallon. Oh, the media has finally started covering “Pain at the Pump” but they are not giving us the real reasons for the jump. Unrest in the middle east has given the cabal of President Obama and the media, “cover” to blame others for the spike to the stratosphere. The real reasons are three-fold, with unrest in the middle east being the least of the three.

NEW YORK (AP) – CNN’s prime-time talk show “Parker/Spitzer” is no more with the departure of Kathleen Parker. Her partner, former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, will remain in the time slot in a new show called “In the Arena,” working with E.D. Hill, Will Cain and others.

On Glenn Beck’s television show yesterday, he brought up one of his favorite pieces of literature, Cass Sunstein’s 2008 essay on conspiracy theorists (PDF) which lists ways the government might combat them. One suggestion advises the government to “hire credible private parties to engage in counterspeech.” On today’s radio show, Beck told us who one of these private parties might be; none other than Fareed Zakaria. A few months ago, Zakaria took umbrage with Beck’s assertion that 10% of Muslims are terrorists. However, Zakaria really got on Glenn Beck’s bad side this weekend with his interview with perennial enemy of...

A message from the heart to the Republicans in Congress: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember, remember the elections in November, you were elected stop Obama's near treasonous plot. I know of no reason, other than treason, that the elections should ever be forgot! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What earth shattering event would force me to write such admittedly poor prose ? What on earth could possibly make Your Friendly Neighborhood Right Wing Extremist Columnist so upset that he is forced to stray so far from his comfort zone ? Just what is bothering him, anyway ? (Other than the fact that the United States is sliding...

"In today's Eye on The Government segment, we look at Republican President Heinrich Von Mueller's controversial czar appointments. We'll first look at "Green Jobs" czar Gregor Von Hollis, who has been quoted as saying "You don't see white kids joining the Crips and The Bloods" and "Minorities have been pumping poisons into the white communities." Von Hollis was also the founder of STORMTROOPER, a radical National Socialist movement. Next, we have Fritz Schactheimer, School Safety Czar, who spoke passionately of the" loving" relationship Ernst Roehm had with his young storm troopers. Schactheimer, a non repentant former drug addict, will also...

On November 22nd, 1963, Communist sympathizer Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated President John F. Kennedy. On June 5th, 1968, anti-Israeli extremist Sirhan Sirhan assassinated Senator Robert Kennedy. The Weather Underground, which Chairman Obama sycophant Bill Ayers was a member of, spent 1969-1981 setting off bombs and committing armed robberies, all in the name of "social justice". Ted Kaczynski, the leftist terrorist known as the Unabomber, has this catalogue of carnage to his credit: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1978 May 25–26 Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois Terry Marker, campus police officer (minor injuries) 1979 May 9 Northwestern University John Harris, graduate student (slight burns) November 15...

--snip--For the first time in a long time, the progressive movement is staring at the historical abyss. The 2010 election wasn't merely a "shellacking." It was an utter repudiation of a political movement which thought the 2008 election was enough of a mandate to step from behind the curtain and reveal who they truly are to the American electorate. What most American saw was an arrogance coupled with an anything goes a lust for power they found both appalling and frightening...

Fox News analyst and former CBS News correspondent Bernard Goldberg has a message for the mainstream media concerning their coverage of the Tuscon shooting--'shut the hell up!' Goldberg made the comment last evening on Bill O'Reilly's show on Fox. O'Reilly had already castigated the mainstream media for joining in the Leftwing chorus of blaming conservatives for the massacre that killed a Federal judge and wounded a U.S. Congresswoman, among others. As a nightly guest on The O'Reilly Factor, Goldberg exposes bias inherent in the news reporting of the media. Goldberg had been part of CBS News under former anchor Dan...

No doubt, 2010 was a historic year. While it's not unusual for Big Media's undeniable bias to lead them to miss, if not intentionally ignore, certain stories, in terms of volume, 2010 seems to have offered a banner crop. Granted, no single story in 2010 compares to the biggie they missed in 2009: the ascendancy of the "Tea Party" movement. After the better part of a year, the mainstream press finally caught up in 2010. Oh, sure, they're still miscasting and criticizing the phenomenon, but they no longer deny its existence or impact. The delightful irony in Big Media's year-long...

An audio clip from about two months ago has been uncovered by The Blaze which clearly demonstrates that, even with all of his opining and public speaking skills, there is a reason that Howard Dean’s most notable quote will always remain a timelessly incoherent scream. Despite being a one-word definition of ignorance, Dean doesn’t mind discussing how to control the media in an effort to educate what he considers to be the ignorant masses – Americans. What would he do about the media? “I would bring back the Fairness Doctrine so you couldn’t have a spectacle of a Fox Flooze, which...

CNN led their hour-long documentary "Boiling Point: Inside the Tea Party," which aired on Saturday and Sunday, with the regular accusation from liberals that racism is "running rampant" in the Tea Party movement. Host Shannon Travis highlighted the NAACP's resolution, disgraced former Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams's self-described "foolish satire," and played up two racially-charged signs. Before raising the racism charge, Travis raised another liberal stereotype perpetuated by the mainstream media: the angry Tea Party: "This is what you know about the Tea Party Movement: rallies like these, angry protesters demanding that lawmakers spend less of your money and...

Consumers are ready to write an obituary for traditional news media, and they won't expect to see it in print or on a network newscast. In a Harris Poll conducted for 24/7 Wall St. (a financial news and opinion Web site), 55 percent agreed that "Traditional media as we currently know it will no longer exist in 10 years." It's not that people will necessarily welcome that development. When asked to think "about news and information in general," 67 percent of respondents agreed that "I prefer to get my news in more traditional ways, such as network television and/or reading...

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Katie Couric's future, once her CBS News contract ends, will be whereever she can have a "strong role," the news anchor told the Daily Beast. "Obviously, I'm going to figure out where I think I could have a role, a strong role," she told new Daily Beast media writer Howard Kurtz who also cited CBS News insiders as saying she may extend her stay at the network and is aware that she would take a salary cut in that case. "I'll have to think long and hard about the choices I have going forward."

On Election Day 2008, Maruse Heath, the leader of Philadelphia's New Black Panther Party, stood in front of a neighborhood polling place, dressed in a paramilitary uniform. Within hours, an amateur video showing Heath, slapping a black nightstick and exchanging words with the videographer, had aired on TV and ricocheted across the nation. Among those who saw the footage was J. Christian Adams, who was in his office in the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division in Washington. "I thought, 'This is wrong, this is not supposed to happen in this country,' " Adams said. "There are armed men in front...

By now, the trash left behind at the Democrat “One Nation Working Together” near the Washington Monument has been cleared away—but a bunch of garbage remains. For the last year and a half the left and their activist old media have tried to dump on the Tea Party movement, hoping beyond hope they would find evidence of racism, sexism, Nazism, or any type of -ism that they could use to disparage and discredit Americans who love liberty

am ashamed to admit that there is one thing the contemporary mainstream media does well. Having spent years studying politics, history, and language, I find it amazing that media is able to convince people to believe conflicting narratives. The creation and perpetuation of these contradictory beliefs cannot be possible without a media structure, as well as an educational structure, that discourages, and too often scorns, analytical thinking. In George Orwell’s novel “1984″, he described this as doublethink which is the power to hold two completely contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accept both of them.
