TOWANDA -- A rally to show support for the U.S. armed forces and President Bush will take place at 3 p.m. today at the Bradford County Courthouse in Towanda. The keynote speaker will be U.S. Rep. Don Sherwood, R-Tunkhannock. State Rep. Tina Pickett will also be in attendance. The program will also include prayer, patriotic music and addresses by several groups. Also in attendance will be representatives from American Legion Post 42 and from the office of state Sen. Roger Madigan. TODAY SUNDAY MARCH 23 at 12:30pm at the MARINE BASE MCAS IN MIRAMAR at GATE 2. There will be a rally to show support for our troops. Sadly some military families in the San Diego area have been spit on, and verbally abused, (and yes that includes their small children,this is an outrage!)This rally is a great way to let military families know that we care for them and support their loved ones over seas. You'd think by now that Big Media would be ashamed of their one-sided coverage of the recent rallies nationwide, but no. NBC's coverage last night hit a nauseating new low. Tom Brokaw, Maria Shriver and company referred repeated to the appeasement demonstrations but failed to note the patriotic rallies sweeping the country. Shriver proved that just because she's a Schwarzenegger by marriage she's still a Kennedy: She specifically mentioned appeasement demonstrations planned this weekend in Chicago and New York City but omitted the fact that pro-America rallies are also planned in those same cities.
