A man shot innocent victims outside a shopping mall. The attacker was killed by an off-duty policeman who happened to be nearby. We’re hearing all kinds of claims about what we should do to be safer. Five people were shot and killed, including an off-duty police officer, on a northeastern Raleigh greenway Thursday, Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin said at a press conference. Two others, including a Raleigh Police K9 officer, were transported to a hospital. The officer had non-life threatening injuries.
