A maniac attacked three people with a glass bottle in a violent and unprovoked rampage that began at a Manhattan Whole Foods Market on Thursday evening, according to police. The assailant then went inside the store to the second floor, where he attacked a 49-year-old woman, the NYPD said. ATLANTA — Early Sunday morning, another group of street racers stopped traffic at the 10th Street and Piedmont Road intersection so they could burn rubber on top of Atlanta’s “Rainbow Crosswalk”. They cleared the area before Atlanta police arrived but left more damage at the busy intersection just a few days after it had been cleaned up. Atlanta Police are offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with information on the street racers who have been disrupting Atlanta’s streets and leaving damage at one of the City’s better known landmarks. Last Sunday morning, APD responded to reports of street racers doing...

Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered the cash-strapped MTA to waste as much as $30 million on his latest vanity project — retiling two city tunnels in the state’s blue-and-gold color scheme — instead of using the dough for desperately needed subway repairs, The Post has learned. The boondoggle began soon after the taxpayer-funded agency ordered white tiles to reline the Brooklyn-Battery and Queens-Midtown tunnels after Superstorm Sandy, documents show. The governor got wind of the plan — and insisted that the cash-strapped transit agency add stripes of blue and gold, thinking nothing of the additional $20 million to $30 million cost,...

It was one of the most memorable moments of the night: Donald Trump defended his “New York values†with a calm, forceful, deeply personal reflection on what it was like to be a New Yorker after the 9/11 attacks. That moment showed just how far Trump has come as a candidate, revealing a style that was more purposeful statesman than bombastic showman. ...... Instead, Trump explained himself and his city. “When the World Trade Center came down, I saw something that no place on Earth could have handled more beautifully, more humanely than New York,†Trump said to warm applause,...

Thirty years ago Wednesday, shots rang out in front of Sparks Steak House in Midtown, leaving then-Gambino crime boss Paul Castellano dead in the gutter, and signaling the rise to power of John Gotti who would soon become the most famous gangster in America. It was also a development, according to mob experts, that ultimately speeded up the demise of the five mob families in New York City. "It was one of the most singular acts that altered the existence of the New York Mafia," said Phil Scala the retired head of the FBI squad that investigated the Gambino family....

Yesterday my wife, my brother and I decided to go to the city (Manhattan -we live in the New Jersey suburbs-) with our two daughters. As we were joyfully strolling down Broadway minding our own business and talking among us (in Spanish, of course, which I'm sure you'll understand is perfectly normal behavior for native speakers of any language when they speak among each other regardless of what country they happen to be in -Americans living in Mexico or France speak English among themselves as they are perfectly entitled to do-), when out of the blue a woman turned to...

Over the past few years, downtown Houston has experienced a dramatic makeover. After decades of blight, the area has seen the restoration of old buildings and the return of retail, particularly restaurants and clubs. Many of these new businesses suffered through months of road construction with the hope that the arrival of light rail would turn things around. It's been almost six months since rail's launch, enough time, perhaps, for retailers to gauge whether the train will have a positive effect on their businesses. It should be noted, of course, that no two businesses have the same story to tell....
