<p>Jackson Ross and Wesley Gilbert are resting in peace — again.</p>
<p>More than 100 people braved damp, muddy conditions Saturday and trekked up a steep hill at Grand Gulf Military Park to remember the two black Union soldiers.</p>
<p>Erosion problems were washing away the remains of soldiers like Gilbert, of the 52nd U.S. Colored Infantry, and the storm-eaten trenches were threatening to consume the remains of Jackson Ross, of the 47th U.S. Colored Infantry.</p>
