FULL TITLE: Donald Trump, Jr. will be indicted by Mueller, former prosecutor says, and will help to ensnare his father Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted and used by special counsel Robert Mueller to ensnare his father President Donald Trump, a former prosecutor predicted. During a segment on MSNBC’s AM Joy on Saturday, Paul Butler, a former Department of Justice public corruption prosecutor, and host Joy Reid discussed the latest developments in Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between Trump’s campaign team and Moscow officials. “Does Mueller have to indict Trump in order...

Vice Media CEO Nancy Dubuc announced to employees Friday morning that the news outlet will slash its headcount by 10 percent as part of a “strategic” restructuring. A Vice Media spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that 250 of its 2500 staffers will be let go to refocus its growth efforts in production and branded content. Employees from departments, including finance and IT, are expected to be impacted by the decision. “Having finalized the 2019 budget, our focus shifts to executing our goals and hitting our marks,” Dubuc (pictured) wrote in a company-wide memo. “We will make Vice the best manifestation...

Over the past decade, attackers motivated by right-wing political ideologies have committed dozens of shootings, bombings and other acts of violence, far more than any other category of domestic extremist, according to a Washington Post analysis of data on global terrorism.

The United States has just endured the most expensive midterm elections in history. Most of us are tired of campaign commercials and are glad that they no longer run on television. But we fool ourselves if we think the commercials are really over or that the campaigning is limited to the two months leading up to election day. The commercials continue, if only in different forms. Political commercials have, somehow, taken over nearly every facet of our lives and every activity we experience. This infestation has happened so gradually that we barely notice how thorough the campaigning has become. We...

There’s something suspicious about Salena Zito’s glowing profiles of Trump voters. Does anyone in conservative media care? If it weren’t for Donald Trump, Salena Zito would likely still be unknown outside of Pittsburgh. Zito, a former political staffer and consultant, was forty-six when she was hired to write about politics for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review in 2005. The paper was then owned by the late conservative billionaire activist Richard Mellon Scaife. It was Zito’s entry to journalism. For eleven years, she served as a hybrid reporter-columnist, filing moderately conservative opinion pieces leavened with folksy, on-the-ground interviews of the everyday people she...

WASHINGTON — President Trump’s closing argument is now clear: Build tent cities for migrants. End birthright citizenship. Fear the caravan. Send active-duty troops to the border. Refuse asylum. Immigration has been the animating issue of the Trump presidency, and now — with the possibility that Republicans could face significant losses in the midterm elections on Tuesday — the president has fully embraced a dark, anti-immigrant message in the hope that stoking fear will motivate voters to reject Democrats. In a rambling speech on Thursday afternoon that was riddled with falsehoods and vague promises to confront a “crisis” at the border,...

The broadcast news media has not been kind to President Trump since he was elected. Consistent studies from the Media Research Center showed that, on average, 90 percent of the coverage of Mr. Trump has been hostile. Broadcasters now appear intent on creating a negative grand finale as the midterm elections loom, lashing out at the GOP as well. “The broadcast networks are heavily spinning their campaign coverage against the Republicans. The spin of this coverage was lopsidedly anti-Republican and anti-Trump,” writes Rich Noyes, a senior analyst for the conservative press watchdog. Based on coverage from Sept. 1 through Oct....

Here is the thing that is so amusing about CNN… Pretty much every day the far-left network engages in numerous acts of self-humiliation. A Don Lemon or Chris Cuomo or Jake Tapper or Brian Stelter says or does something that forever stains their character, that reveals the hideous person beneath … and for what? If CNN had anything other than tragic ratings, if CNN were in second place or even close to second place, I could understand the shamelessness, the tabloid approach to covering politics. But CNN’s ratings are not only awful, they are miraculously awful. Not only is CNN...

<p>WASHINGTON (AP) — The prognosis for President Donald Trump and his party was grim.</p>
<p>In a post-Labor Day briefing at the White House, a top Republican pollster told senior staff that the determining factor in the election wouldn’t be the improving economy or the steady increase in job creation. It would be how voters feel about Trump. And the majority of the electorate, including a sizable percentage of Republican-leaning voters, doesn’t feel good about the president, according to a presentation from pollster Neil Newhouse that spanned dozens of pages.</p>

If you have ever done a Google search for anything related to Trump you know how biased the entire internecine world of internet technology is; 90% of the first 20 pages of results will be anti-Trump. From search engines to social network platforms the tech world is pro-progressive and anti-conservative. And they can’t believe that it didn’t work in their favor in the last election. I’ve got bad news for them: it’s not going to work in the next one either. Why? David Catron explains: In Reagan’s America: Innocents at Home, Garry Wills described the 40th President’s relationship with the...

RUSH: President Trump has just unloaded! He just continues to unload on CNN. He is unloading on all the social media. CNN, meanwhile, standing by its false story about the Trump Tower meeting. In fact, they’re now lying about lying about it. CNN has compounded the lie.The president yesterday tweeted, quote, “CNN is being torn apart from within based upon their being caught in a major lie and refusing to admit the mistake.†That was tweeted last evening by the president. “Sloppy Carl Bernstein, a man who lives in the past and thinks like a degenerate fool, making up story...

NBC NEWS ANALYSIS: Two of the president's former associates were in court Tuesday. Both guilty of multiple felonies. What happened to draining the swamp? There hasn't been a darker moment for a president - or for the presidency - since Richard Nixon resigned on the verge of impeachment in 1974. On Tuesday, Michael Cohen, the president's longtime fixer and former personal lawyer, pleaded guilty to felony crimes that included illegally paying women hush money to help Donald Trump win the presidency in 2016. Most important, he said he did so at Trump's direction. In other words, Trump cheated to win...

The media is going nuts trying to use Rudy Giuliani’s “truth isn’t truth” remark on Meet the Press yesterday out of context. They hope to create a meme out of it to bludgeon Trump going forward. But noted liberal law Professor Alan Dershowitz says (3:12 mark of the video) Giuliani was absolutely right in what he said! Dershowitz explained that what Rudy meant is that a Perjury trap is when the prosecutor has a witness to testify to something as “the truth,” that would contradict the actual truthful testimony of someone being targeted. False testimony put forward as truth isn’t...

For those of us who still love getting our news from newspapers, those inky, crinkly, thin sheets of wood pulp you hold in your hands and read, these indeed are sad times. Print newspapers, thanks in large part to the meteoric rise of smartphones and online and social media, are in serious decline. [Snip] Many media analysts believe it won’t be long before print newspapers disappear. If it happens, they in large part will be devoured by a voracious horde of online and social media, many of which have little respect for the notion that the first function of news...

"Enemy of the people" is an incendiary phrase. It's been uttered by some of history's most vicious thugs — Robespierre, Goebbels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao — to vilify their opponents ... who were often murdered. President Trump must know that history by now when he calls the press "the enemy of the people." As he must also know the anti-Semitic and racist history of the America First slogan, by which the president describes many of his policies. But Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, pointedly declined the chance this week to say, as Ivanka Tump did, "I do not feel...

Epic Fail: On Thursday one hundred newspapers around the country are set to simultaneously run editorials bashing POTUS Donald Trump for his characterizing them as “fake news” and ‘enemies of the people’ — which is pretty much what they all do everyday unofficially. Because practically no one in Trump’s America trusts them anyway, the ‘mainstream’ media’s equivalent of another anti-Trump temper tantrum isn’t going to affect POTUS’ approval rating one iota — unless, of course, it will drive it up. The papers are going to whine and complain that POTUS Trump is ‘harming the First Amendment’ through alleged attempts to...

I'm confused. How is this different than every other day in the media? "The dirty war on the free press must end." That's the idea behind an unusual editorial-writing initiative that has enlisted scores of newspapers across America. Unusual? That's been the same theme that the media has been putting out for a few weeks. The Boston Globe has been contacting newspaper editorial boards and proposing a "coordinated response" to President Trump's escalating "enemy of the people" rhetoric. There's been a coordinated campaign against Republicans by the media for around 90 years. "We propose to publish an editorial on August...

Bill Mitchell: I am one of the foremost polling experts on Twitter. Here is the new "game" pollsters are playing. Instead of blatantly oversampling Democrats, they WILDLY over-sample Independents then claim Independents oppose Trump 2:1. A complete lie. Independents LOVE Trump.
