Hundreds of students in Iran gathered at the uranium conversion plant in central Iran on Tuesday to form a temporary human shield for the facility. Students reportedly locked arms and formed a human chain around the plants perimeter to show that Iranians support the sacrifice their lives in the event of an aerial strike by Israel. The cathedral mosque that was demolished in September is to be replaced with one of the largest mosques in Europe. The new massive white and green mosque will have an area of 300,000 square meters and hold 5,000 believers, with space for a further 15,000-18,000 worshipers on its grounds. The mosque is to reach a height of 75 meters. The Mosque is to be equipped with climate control, an elevator, and even video broadcasting facilities. A group of Armenians, raised as Sunni Muslims, were baptized on Sunday, as Armenian Orthodox Christians in the Church of S. Giragos (Surp Giragos), in the South-Eastern province of Dyarbakir. The church was reopened on 22 October after two years of restoration work. The group that was baptized were of Armenian origin, and their ancestors had been converted after the Genocide of 1915. Some 30,000 Arab Israelis took part Friday in a rally titled "Al-Aqsa Mosque in Danger," vowing to "redeem" the holy Muslim site in Jerusalem "with blood." Just days after Iran released two Americans accused of spying, an Iranian court has upheld the apostasy conviction and execution sentence of Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. The 11th branch of Iran’s Gilan Provincial Court has determined that Nadarkhani has Islamic ancestry and therefore must recant his faith in Jesus Christ. Iran’s supreme court had previously ruled that the trial court must determine if Youcef had been a Muslim before converting to Christianity.
