Zappa Family Trust Threatens Dweezil Zappa Over Band Name This summer, Dweezil Zappa and his backing band will once again perform the music of his father Frank Zappa on a nationwide tour, but unlike the past decade, the guitarist will be playing under a different moniker. Instead of Zappa Plays Zappa, the touring unit will now be dubbed Dweezil Zappa Plays Frank Zappa, stemming in part from a bitter feud between Frank Zappa's children over their father's copyright, the New York Times reports. In the wake of matriarch and longtime estate executrix Gail Zappa's death in October, son Ahmet Zappa...

So I'm watching this video and I never put it into this situation. Disturbed has always been counter-counter culture....along with most of the great heavy metal bands. Leave it to them to cover this song and make it sound like it should have in the first place. Kinda like their Sound of Silence cover. (My favorite S&G song ever). For more reference, check out The Vengeful One. Off their new album. Same character with the shiny teeth (not like Biden's). Same motivation. New Disturbed is just as tasty and just as crunchy as the old Disturbed. Perfect timing.

This was a song done by Christian recording artist Micah Taylor as he introduced a talk about evangelizing Millennials, and it's called "Millennials". The song is done to the tune of The Beatle's "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Dah". He recorded all the voices. It's really funny...right until the end. Something to enjoy on a Saturday morning.

Now it’s school music classes that are in the crosshairs of the LGBT movement. The Massachusetts Music Educators Association has published an article warning school music teachers across the state that they must provide “LGBTQ-friendly” classrooms or else risk having a “hostile” climate that impairs students’ academic success and mental health. The article, published in the Spring 2016 edition of the Massachusetts Music Educators Journal, lays out a list of radical steps that music teachers should take in order to provide a “safe learning environment” for students. These include: Incorporate LGBT composers and musicians into the curriculum Change “heterosexual” lyrics...

This is the famous Symphony #6 by Beethoven. It evokes a day in the country, hence its nickname, The Pastoral Symphony" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2VY33VXnrQ There were lots of versions on You Tube. This one is Leonard Bernstein's interpretation. I was raised on the Von Karajan version, but this one is very nice too. I notice a few little nuances of dynamics, but that is what makes it interesting to listen to different conductors. I know I missed last Saturday, so I hope this makes up for it! Enjoy.

He has been called the godfather of shock-rock, mixing elements of horror movies into acts that have included an unpalatable array of guillotines, fake blood, baby dolls and boa constrictors. Yet many would be surprised to learn of his Christian roots and his homecoming to the faith after sowing his oats as the ultimate prodigal.“My father was a pastor and my grandfather was an evangelist, actually both were evangelists,” Cooper told the Harvest Show. “I grew up in the church and all my friends were church kids. I had so much fun. I was in church Sunday, Wednesday night, Friday...

The most entertaining part of CNN's State Of The Union is often the tail end when host Jake Tapper presents cartoons he has drawn to illustrate stories in the news. And today he did not disappoint with an interesting angle on the death of Prince, namely the Tipper Gore connection. He reminded us via illustrations that Tipper Gore's once notorious Parents Music Research Center came about in reaction to Tipper and her daughter listening to a Prince album.

The mothers of Trayvon Martin and and Michael Brown are featured in Beyonce's new album, which was released on Jay-Z's Tidal streaming service on Saturday night after an HBO special promoting it. And the singer continued to lace her work with a political message, as well as hitting out at her husband Jay-Z amid rumors of infidelity while ultimately appearing to forgive him. Beyoncé's visual album Lemonade aired on HBO on Saturday, and the film served...
