The House of Representatives on Monday evening voted 221-210 to repeal funding for 87,000 IRS agents. The so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ gave $79.6 billion to the IRS over the next 10 years. The Wall Street Journal said the new army of IRS agents will target the middle and upper-middle class. According to new analysis, the IRS audits the poor at 5 times the rate of everyone else. The IRS also has a history of targeting conservative groups. The House approved its first bill on Monday night rescinding funding for the 87,000 IRS agents.

Of course losing the House was a disappointment. It sucks; and it was a bitter pill to swallow. What made it worse was that some good conservatives lost which gut was wrenching. Nevertheless, we cleared out a lot of NeverTrumper dead wood in the House and the Senate; and that is a good thing. The new Senate will easily be the most conservative and ready to fight Republican Senate caucus in our lifetime. In the House we now have a smaller but decidedly more hardcore conservative Republican caucus than we have seen in decades. Over the past six months this...

Now that the Winter Solstice and other Pagan celebrations have concluded, it’s time to shake off the effects of our annual Bacchanalian rituals and take stock of recent events with a clear head. I offer, in no particular order, a few of the most interesting. Amber Frey made news early, cashing in on her notoriety with her memoirs due out this week. Ms. Frey became a hero for taping her private phone conversations, leading to the prosecution of an immoral and possibly felonious man. This reward, of course, is reserved only for women who bring down men not worshipped and...

Imagine: After months of prayer and preparation during campaign season, you wake up the day after the election and realize that all your hard work has actually paid off. You participated in the voting process and made a difference! Your candidates won! You played a vital role in our Republic and influenced the outcome of Election 2004! No need to imagine. It’s real. Such is the reality here in Washington, D.C., after the elections last November 2. Not every man and woman who supports the pro-family movement may have won their campaigns, but most of them did. The beauty of...

President and Mrs. Bush, former Presidents Bush and Clinton visited the embassies of the nations hardest hit by the Asian quake and tsunami: Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand. He asked both (interestingly, Carter didn't make the list) to lead a nationwide charitable fund-raising effort for victims of the Asian tsunamis, through private contributions, non-governmental and international organizations. The White House's Freedom Corps, which helps facilitate volunteer efforts around the country, will assist the two former presidents in soliciting private contributions. The president hosted a reception for new members elected to Congress and their spouses in the East Room; the...
