In short, there are far too many graduates for the number of jobs available, and the majority of those who get jobs are not being paid nearly enough to service their debt. It turns out the 15-year-old's given name, Blaer, is not on the Icelandic government's approved list of names. She's now identified as 'girl' on official documents.
