BE HAPPY "Don't worry. Be happy". I'm sure everyone has heard that song on the radio at one time or another. But I wonder if we ask ourselves, "Are we happy?" I don't mean that we should be constantly ecstatic or exuberant, but HAPPY, full of that deep down inner contentment which persists even in the midst of trials and tribulations? Because we are the children of God, God is concerned and cares for us. Whatever our real needs, we can rest assured that God will fulfill them, albeit in His own time and accordance...

Following a screening of Michael Moore’s new documentary “Where To Invade Next” at the New York Film Festival on Friday, the always opinionated filmmaker had a few thoughts about the current presidential election. When a question came to Moore at the press conference about the republican candidates, he couldn’t help but give his thoughts. “Oh, don’t worry about them,” Moore told the audience. “Seventy-nine per cent of the United States are either women, people of colour, or people between the ages of 18 and 30. That’s the blocks you have to win to get elected. Donald Trump, he has none...

NEW YORK – CNBC is asking advertisers to pay a cool $250,000 to get their 30-second spot on the third Republican presidential debate, The Post has learned. The debate, headlined “Your Money, Your Vote: The Republican Presidential Debate,” is set to take place on Oct. 28 and will air on the business news cable network. CNBC’s asking price is 25 percent higher than the $200,000 per 30-second spot that CNN fetched during the second debate — and significantly more than the typical $50,000 that CNBC charges for its sometimes schlocky commercials for personal grooming products or gold buying services. The CNN...

MOSCOW, September 29, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – In 2013, Russia passed an amendment to the country's Child Protection Law against "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations to minors," which also safeguards children from being adopted by homosexuals. Western governments, led by the United States, condemned the law, which has as its purpose "Protecting Children from Information Advocating for a Denial of Traditional Family Values," as hateful, bigoted, and out of step with modern societies.

The father of the Oregon community college shooter said Saturday that he "had no idea that he had any guns whatsoever" and called for more restrictions as he questioned how his 26-year-old son obtained as many as 13 firearms. "How on Earth could he compile 13 guns? How can that happen?" asked Ian Mercer, the father of Christopher Harper-Mercer, who killed nine people and injured nine others in the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.

..... Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FRtjBjvMbY The video was filmed near the Lion's Gate of the Old City, and in it gunfire, screams and a baby crying can be heard as the mayhem unfolds. At around 12 seconds into the video the terrorist, wearing a black sweatshirt, can apparently be seen stabbing a victim in a white shirt from behind. He follows after his falling victim and repeatedly stabs him on the ground. Shouts of "Allahu akbar" (Allah is greater), traditionally shouted by terrorists as they attack, is heard around the same time. In the attack the terrorist attacked a family with a...

Chilling footage has emerged showing the final moments of a 'radicalised' 15-year-old after he stormed a police headquarters and shot an accountant at point-blank range in an 'act of terrorism'. Schoolboy Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammad can been seen running down the street brandishing his gun in the air just seconds after killing father-of-two Curtis Cheng, 58. Dressed in a black robe, the lone gunman can be heard screaming at officers before having a shoot-out with three special constables guarding the station in Parramatta, Sydney. Multiple shots can be heard and the Channel Seven video then shows the Iranian-born youth, who...

The Syrian Arab Army’s Central Command has announced their next offensive in central Syria after taking a 15 month hiatus from this front due to the Old City ceasefire agreement which resulted in the Islamist rebel fighters surrendering this historical area in the provincial capital of the Homs Governorate. Unlike their previous offensives in the Homs Governorate (i.e. Wadi Al-Nasara in mid-2014), the Syrian Armed Forces will concentrate on the rugged terrain in the Al-Rastan Plains that is currently under the control of the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their affiliates from the Free Syrian Army (FSA). For Jabhat...

In a shift reminiscent of the freefall that occurred earlier this year, the overall US drilling rig count plunged 29 units during the week ended Oct. 2 to a total of 809, the lowest since May 3, 2002, according to data from Baker Hughes Inc. The count has now fallen in 6 consecutive weeks, giving up 76 units during that time. The recent decline follows a small summer rebound in which the total climbed 28 units over a 9-week period from a nadir of 857 to a plateau of 885. The count is now down 1,113 units year-over-year and 1,122...

Was he a Half-White Supremacist? According to the LA Times, Chris Harper Mercer, the Oregon killer, was a "White Supremacist". One slight problem. Mercer identified as multi-racial. His mother was black. He doesn't seem to have even known his father. He identified with black TV killer Vester Lee Flanagan. This doesn't seem to have stopped the media with George Zimmerman who was labeled a white Hispanic, so maybe Chris Harper Mercer was a white Black? Was he a Half-White Supremacist? I'm not an expert on "White Supremacism", but being half-black and then shooting a bunch of white Christians would make...

Housing starts fell from a downward-revised ~1.16 million to ~1.13 million in August 2015. This was below Wall Street estimates of just over 1.16 million. We also saw declines in single-family starts, which fell to 739,000 from 762,000. Multi-family starts fell to 381,000 from 390,000. The real estate market in big cities is undoubtedly being influenced by foreign investors who want to diversify their holdings and are encouraged by the strength of the dollar. In addition, wealthy Chinese investors are taking advantage of the visa program, which promised a free green card to anyone who invests $500,000 and creates ten...

At least some Democrats are resisting Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s purge of the liberal intelligentsia. This week Ms. Warren succeeded in forcing the resignation of respected scholar Robert Litan from the Brookings Institution after he revealed that a new Labor Department regulation could cost investors billions. Now five Democratic economists have authored a letter to protest Warren’s bullying. Robert Lawrence of Harvard’s Kennedy School and Bowman Cutter of the Roosevelt Institute are among those writing “to express our concern over our colleague Bob Litan’s treatment at the hands of the Brookings Institution and Senator Elizabeth Warren.” Also signing the letter are...

The September jobs report from the Labor Department on the U.S. employment situation is now out: The unemployment rate remains at 5.1 percent, and the economy added 142,000 jobs in September. The report is being called “lackluster” and “worrying” for a couple reasons: First, forecasters were hoping for at least 200,000 jobs added. The average number of jobs added per month in the first eight months of 2015 is above 200,000. Secondly, the August jobs-added numbers have been revised down to 136,000 from 173,000; July’s numbers have also been revised down—together with August this means that 59,000 fewer new jobs...

A sign in the Roseburg Gun Shop. Interviews with almost a dozen residents of the rural Oregon community on Friday yielded unanimity on their biggest threats: gun control and Barack Obama. The deadliest mass killing in the state’s history had taken place a few miles away and to the staff and customers of the Roseburg Gun Shop it was clear they faced a grave threat – from Barack Obama. Authorities had just discovered a cache of 13 weapons possessed by the shooter, Chris Harper Mercer, but the man they feared was thousands of miles away in the White House, plotting, as...

There are plenty of gun control laws in America, but the President isn't enforcing them. Maybe that's because the illegal guns are used by blacks to kill blacks. After the mass shooting at a community college in Oregon, President Barack Obama once again took the opportunity to lecture us Americans with righteous indignation about guns in America. “Somehow this has become routine. The reporting is routine. My response here at this podium ends up being routine. The conversation in the aftermath of it. We’ve become numb to this.” Chris Harper Mercer, a 26-year old white man, killed 10 people and...
