    (I could live without it, but The Chief of Procuremenet will not.) Is Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime the best option for someone who has a few favorite shows? Will show be ONE WEEK behind on episodes or ONE SEASON? (assuming these shows on cable are not available right away) Dish is not an option (she won't allow it on the roof) Will likely be getting DSL from a phone company.
  • Vanity- We no longer need Cable- With Roku or a Smart TV We can see more for less money.

    Cable is to TV what the dial up is to online access. We no longer need Cable to see what we want and when we want to. Streaming TV allows us to dump cable. Get a Roku or a Smart TV. Get Netflix for $8.00 and Hulu Plus for $12. And stations such as METV even stream on local sub channels that you can access for free!

    Most FReepers are not aware of this, but the past six or seven months have been full of disruptions: the biggest being our having to move from our home of 28 years to a new abode. And there is no cable out here (and analog aerials don't work any more).
