MSNBC’s Joy Reid told her fans Monday that the National Rifle Association has machinations of building an America where “packs of warlords” can kill at will. The host of “AM Joy” reacted to Sunday’s church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, by claiming NRA members — over 5 million Second Amendment advocates — seek the creation of “private armies” operating outside the rule of law. The comments came one day after 26-year-old Devin Kelley killed 26 churchgoers and wounded another 20 in a rampage reportedly linked to a domestic dispute. “Americans are living like packs of warlords, with heavily armed people...

She took aim at the National Rifle Association (NRA), asking...

WASHINGTON – Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) predicted that President Donald Trump will eventually resign from office to avoid impeachment by making up an excuse such as “somebody is trying to kill Barron” Trump, his 11-year-old son. “We just have to, like the slogan says, stay woke; just stay woke, be careful, because I can see the wheels turning now…we’re marching toward impeachment, there’s no question about it. If that happens, are we prepared? Because it’s going to happen,” Wilson said Thursday at the annual Legislative & Policy Conference organized by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) on Capitol Hill....

MSNBC star Rachel Maddow’s latest anti-Trump conspiracy theory was so outlandish that even the dependently liberal HuffPost criticized it as "so flimsy that it could be debunked by a quick glance at a map." On Thursday evening, "The Rachel Maddow Show" opened with a somber 25-minute diatribe that attempted to connect the tragic ambush attack that killed four American soldiers in Niger to the latest version of President Trump’s proposed travel ban, which included the nation of Chad. Maddow essentially claimed that the inclusion of Chad, which recently pulled its troops out of Niger, in the revised travel ban resulted...

Former FBI Director James Comey acted on key information created by Russian intelligence in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails that he knew to be fake, CNN reported Friday. Unidentified officials told CNN that Comey feared that if the information became public it would undermine the investigation as well as the Justice Department itself. The false information reportedly spurred the then-FBI chief to publicly declare last summer that the investigation into Clinton’s emails was over. Meanwhile, Comey also said that Clinton had been “extremely careless” in her handling of classified information.

And he’s not,” Ryan said at an Axios panel discussion. He also went further, saying “I like Jim Comey.” […] Ryan also commented on Trump calling him a boy scout. “I took it as a compliment. There is an additional exposé on James Comey which presents an ironclad case against him for dereliction of duty, obstruction of justice and official misconduct as follows: DETAILING THE COMMISSION OF COMEY CRIMES State of the Nation May 18, 2017 Subject: Dropping the Hammer on Comey…Brilliant! There are very few crime/mystery novels that approach this true story for compelling drama, intrigue and brinkmanship (with the nation in the balance). Don’t believe the fake-media story that Trump made a mistake or huge gaffe by firing Comey. Don’t believe the media narrative from the left that it was an attempt to silence...

President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting. “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.” Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.” The conversation, during a May 10 meeting — the day after he fired Mr. Comey — reinforces...
