...Obama told parishioners at a mosque outside Baltimore that he'd heard from young Muslims worried they'll be rounded up and kicked out of the country. He said Muslims, too, are concerned about the threat of terrorism but are too often blamed as a group "for the violent acts of the very few."

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday chided President Obama for visiting a mosque, a move the president made in part as a counter to Trump's controversial comments on Muslims. "I don't have much thought, I think he can go to lots of places. I don't know, maybe he feels comfortable there," Trump said Wednesday on Fox News' "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren." "There are a lot of places he can go, and he chose a mosque."

The latest revelations regarding Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information are stunning. For example, several of the former secretary of state’s “private†e-mails contain national-defense information so sensitive that it is classified at the highest levels. Moreover, classified information so pervades the thousands of pages of e-mails communicated through and stored on Mrs. Clinton’s unsecured, homebrew server system that the court-ordered disclosure process has ground to a halt. Remember, Mrs. Clinton reviewed her e-mails before finally surrendering them to the State Department, and she initially insisted there was no classified information in them. Now, it turns out they were so...

If you like the current condition of our Republic, then vote for Rubio. Rubio and Obama for the most part agree across the board. 1) Illegal Immigration and a Pathway to Citizenship 2) Rigged Trade Agreements that exports jobs overseas 3) Big supporter of H1-B that encourages U.S. companies, through taxes and regulations to fire their American workers and replace them with someone from overseas. 4) Going to war with Syria and endless perpetual state of war. 5) Rubio is in favor of big government. 6) Rubio is for the Police State. He wants to spy on all Americans, but...

On Wednesday, President Obama, who has become the executive branch equivalent of a professional Salon.com commenter troll, took his traveling roadshow of perverse failure to the Islamic Society of Baltimore.

When Barack Obama visited the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Islamic Society of Baltimore on Wednesday, he said: “The first thing I want to say is two words that Muslim Americans don’t hear often enough: Thank you.â€

Can an authoritarian regime convert to democracy by itself? The historical record isn't encouraging. In the absence of a popular uprising, it is rare for tyrants to voluntarily retire. The military junta of Burma has promised to relinquish some power to an elected government, but it has not yet delivered. China's party-state shows no inclination to try. Russia's strongman is reversing what incipient democracy existed. This goes to the core of why President Obama's opening to Cuba seems to be failing to live up to its declared goals. When the end to a half-century of hostility was announced in December...

A New York Times op-ed argues that Obama’s visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore mosque “demonstrates tacit acceptance of a form of gender apartheid.†From the New York Times: As President and Michelle Obama argued decades ago in the context of the U.S. civil rights movement, separate is indeed unequal. To Muslim women’s rights activists fighting for equal access to mosques as part of a broader campaign for reform — from equal education for women and girls to freedom from so-called “honor killings†— the president’s visit to a mosque that practices such blatant inequity represents a step backwards....

When you were a rowdy teen, your parents were the Establishment. Now that you're a parent, what are you? The anti-establishment, cool parent? Not likely. Rather, you're a grownup who tries to keep the peace in your discordant household; who tries to negotiate among self-interested, imperfect family members who have competing goods and goals; and who tries to instill a long-range vision for the future in your desire-ridden family who wants instant self-gratification. Welcome to the Establishment. You're a bona fide member now. Here's a defense of the amorphous, notional Establishment, as I see it, if it even exists in...

Unlike his GOP opponents, Trump stands apart from the traditional establishmentarians on the right. On the Democratic side, Sanders and Clinton compete to out-talk one another with the exact same catchphrases and fictitious dramas about income inequality, gun violence, sexism and racism. On the Republican side, all the candidates talk big on amnesty and illegal immigration after they've all spent years supporting it. They all talk about the grassroots after taking million dollar checks from the right-wing donor class and Wall Street. They all blur together. Among them, only one candidate stands out. While the two Democratic front-runners and all...

The FBI conducted more gun-related background checks this January than in any other January since the system was created. With 2,545,802 checks processed through the National Instant Background Check System, January 2016 beat the previous record, set in January 2013, by 50,326 checks. Though January’s number represents a drop from the all-time single month record set in December 2015, it is also marks the ninth month in a row that has set a record. It is also the third month in a row with more than two million background checks.

For the first time during his seven years in office, President Obama visited a mosque on Wednesday to share a message of 'religious tolerance and unity.' "We're one American family, and when any part of our family starts to feel second class or separate or targeted, it tears at the very fabric of our nation," the president said. Muslims, he continued, are "some of the most resilient and patriotic Americans you'll ever meet." He even spoke about how "Islam has always been part of America." "Islam has always been part of America," he said, detailing the beginnings of the...

To Muslim women’s rights activists fighting for equal access to mosques as part of a broader campaign for reform — from equal education for women and girls to freedom from so-called “honor killings†— the president’s visit to a mosque that practices such blatant inequity represents a step backwards. While it may be meant to convey a message of religious inclusiveness to American Muslims, the visit demonstrates tacit acceptance of a form of discrimination that amounts to gender apartheid....

"President Obama spoke warmly about Islam during his speech at a mosque today, highlighting the contributions that Muslims had made to the fabric of American society. “Islam has always been part of America,†he said, detailing the beginnings of the religion among African slaves brought to America. He also pointed out that Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Virginia statute for religious freedom that the “Mohammedan†should have his faith protected in the United States. Obama met with Muslim leaders during a visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore, before delivering a speech there. This is Obama’s first visit to a...

On Monday the U.S. national debt hit a new record: $19,012,827,698,418. This is the first time the national debt has ever exceeded $19 trillion. That's more than $58,000 for each person who lives in the U.S. today (including children). The main culprit behind the rising deficits and debt is growing federal spending--especially among Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare. Traditionally, Congress has set a limit for how much debt the U.S. may take on, known simply as the debt limit. But rather than put a higher limit on the debt, lawmakers and the president have repeatedly suspended the debt limit,...

video: President Obama took on the role of television critic in remarks today at the Islamic Society of Baltimore."Our television shows should have some Muslim characters that are unrelated to national security," the president said at the mosque, "because -- it's not that hard to do. There was a time when there were no black people on television. And you can tell good stories while still representing the reality of our communities."

Wednesday at the Islamic Society of Baltimore, President Barack Obama said many American do not know Muslims so they get their “hugely distorted impression†of Muslims from “distorted media portrayals†and “inexcusable political rhetoric,†after terror attacks.

In 2009, Obama stole money from retired teachers and police officers in Indiana During the Chrysler bankruptcy, Obama violated the Fifth Amendment and more than 150 years of bankruptcy law by illegally treating secured creditors worse than unsecured creditors. Some of these secured creditors were retired teachers and police officers from Indiana. Richard A. Epstein, a law professor at New York University School of Law, wrote of this:"Upsetting this fixed hierarchy among creditors is just an illegal taking of property from one group of creditors for the benefit of another, which should be struck down on both statutory and constitutional...

(CNN) - Seeking to rebut what he views as perilous election-year bombast about Muslims, President Barack Obama is at a mosque in Baltimore on Wednesday, his first visit to such a site in the United States."Muslim Americans keep us safe," Obama told the audience, crediting the contributions Muslims have made to communities. "They are our police. They are our fire fighters. They're in (the Department of) Homeland Security." At the Islamic Society of Baltimore, a 47-year-old mosque with thousands of attendees, Obama heralded the contributions of Muslims to American society while issuing a forceful counterpoint to the language favored by...

House Speaker Paul Ryan called on Republicans Wednesday to stop fighting angrily among themselves and not to be distracted by guns or other "hot-button" issues that President Barack Obama raises this election year. "We can't fall into the progressives' trap of acting like angry reactionaries," Ryan, R-Wis., said at a Heritage Action for America policy meeting. "The left would love nothing more than for a fragmented conservative movement to stand in a circular firing squad, so the progressives can win by default." ...
