Next week Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Queen Latifah, and many others will perform at the White House in a "Memphis Soul" concert, the White House announced today. "As part of their 'In Performance at the White House' series, the President and First Lady will invite music legends and contemporary major artists to the White House for a celebration of Memphis Soul music. She performed some singles including her own song “Firework” and Al Green’s classic “Let’s stay Together” for an audience of about 6,000 Obama supporters. The uplifting “Firework” set off a storm of postings on Twitter. The pop star also donned faux fingernails featuring red, white and blue stripes and photos of Obama, The Hollywood Reporter writes. The celebrity singer posted yesterday on Twitter that she’s “so honored to play for the President!”
