The Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday unanimously voted to ban tents from city parks. Some Occupy L.A. activists called it an assault on the Occupy Wall Street movement. They said homeless people are the ones who will be hurt by the ordinance. Personal information about more than two dozen members of the Los Angeles Police Department's command staff was anonymously posted on a website, officials said Wednesday. The LAPD is investigating who may be behind the site, which listed officers' property records, campaign contributions, biographical information and, in a few cases, the names of children and other family members. In the last few months, hackers have tried to break into the servers of several public agencies including the LAPD, the Fullerton Police Department and the Bay Area Rapid Transit system.

Los Angeles police used nearly a dozen undercover detectives to infiltrate the Occupy LA encampment before this week's raid to gather information on the anti-Wall Street protesters' intentions, according to media reports Friday. The Occupy movement, which is protesting a wide range of perceived wrongs from fat cat Wall Street bankers to social and economic injustice, also is being strongly influenced by communists and socialists, though you wouldn’t know that from reports by the mainstream media. But as this video shows, it is more about those who hate America and want to see capitalism replaced by socialism, even though most of the protesters have no idea of what that would really mean to them.

An Occupy LA protester admits that nothing good can come of this movement unless America is destroyed. Unfortunately, this loon sounds more like the normal Occupy protester rather than the exception. City officials and protesters are holding a meeting Friday afternoon at the mayor’s office to discuss the Occupy movements throughout Los Angeles County, a police spokesman said. The meeting includes representatives from the Los Angeles Police Department, members of the Occupy L.A. movement and at least one representative of the start-up Occupy San Fernando Valley protest, which is slated to kick off Saturday morning, according to LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith. The meeting will likely determine the fate of Occupy San Fernando Valley and lay out guidelines if it is to proceed.
