  • Report: Joe Biden to Escape Charges for Mishandling Classified Docs

Special Counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating President Joe Biden for mishandling documents, is not expected to charge anyone, sources familiar with the matter told CNN and the Wall Street Journal. The report suggests a double standard of justice. While there will reportedly be no consequences for Biden, Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted former President Donald Trump in June for mishandling classified documents. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur in January to investigate Biden after classified documents from his time as vice president in Barack Obama’s administration were found in his possession at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC,...

It appears McCarthy is backing down after claiming he will look at opening a Biden impeachment inquiry without a floor vote since several Republican lawmakers are not convinced there is enough evidence of Biden corruption. Because bank statements, informants, witnesses, credible whistleblowers, emails, WhatsApp messages and documents from Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell isn’t enough evidence. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he will not open an impeachment inquiry without a formal vote on the House floor. House Republicans currently have a slim majority of 222 to 212 and one vacancy. McCarthy is now backing down as he continues to...
  • Hunter's Lawyer: No New Charges Expected From Weiss

Hunter Biden's attorney said Sunday a trial is "not inevitable" following the collapse of a proposed plea deal, and he does not expect new charges to be brought against his client by special prosecutor David Weiss. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday elevated Weiss, the U.S. attorney in Delaware, to special counsel after a proposed plea deal between President Joe Biden's son and the Justice Department fell through in court on July 26. Weiss has been probing Hunter Biden for alleged tax fraud and illegal firearm possession. Attorney Abbe Lowell told "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan that he's "confident...
  • Fox hosts didn’t believe 2020 election fraud claims

Hosts at Fox News had serious concerns about allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election being made by guests who were allies of former President Donald Trump, according to court filings in a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the network. “Sidney Powell is lying,” about having evidence for election fraud, Tucker Carlson told a producer about the attorney on Nov. 16, 2020, according to an excerpt from an exhibit that remains under seal. The internal communication was included in a redacted summary judgment brief filed Thursday by attorneys for Dominion Voting Systems. Carlson also referred to Powell in...

It's nearly mid-summer here in the beautiful Midwest. The old saying about the corn being "knee high by the 4th of July" is laughably anachronistic. These days, with hybrid seeds, scientific farming methods, and soil so rich it's almost a separate food group by itself, the corn is waist high by now and reaching for the sky. There is perhaps no holiday I look forward to more in my adulthood than the 4th. I have several traditions that have taken hold over the years; viewing the wonderful series The Revolution on the History Channel all day, playing patriotic music both...
  • The Russians Have Never Stopped Spying on Us

It is not for nothing that Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Republic, is a former member of the KGB. From its earliest days, Soviet Russia maintained a vast army of spies around the world and penetrating the United States remained high on its list of priorities. In 2001, the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Robert Hanssen, a FBI special agent who was a Russian spy, judged to be one of the most damaging moles in U.S. history. As Bill Gertz, a Washington Times reporter, notes in his latest book, “Enemies: How America’s Foes Steal Our Vital Secrets—and How...

I'm a hard numbers kind of guy. I follow the state polls every evening after I get home from work, and there's a disturbing trend developing right now: most projections give Kerry a pretty good position in the electoral college. ======================= Here are a few sites of electoral projections: http://www.electoral-vote.com http://www.dalythoughts.com/ecb.htm http://www.electionprojection.com/elections2004.html http://www.federalreview.com/ http://www.spacerad.com/electoral/ http://synapse.princeton.edu/~sam/pollcalc.html http://www.race2004.net/ ==================== There are a handful of states that I'm really concerned about. Bush should NOT be worrying about these states!!! Bush should be waltzing through these and focusing on Ohio and Florida! Nevada: Rasmussen's latest poll gives Bush a 1% lead. What's less-often reported...

HAVE WE reached a turning point in the Presidential election? Or have we just reached a turning point in how the press views the Presidential election? Or is that the same thing? On Tuesday, Charlie Cook, a highly respected nonpartisan political analyst, wrote in his column for the National Journal that things are looking bad for President Bush. Cook’s chief point is that while Kerry holds just a slim lead in some polls, there are very few undecided voters out there and that Bush realistically can expect to get no more than 25 percent of them. Which would mean a...
  • Will Hurricane Charley Cost Bush The Election?

An interesting conversation was on Fox News this morning. Stuart Varney (sp) mentioned that for the two months after Hurricane Andrew hit Florida the National GDP actually dropped. Then, when recovery efforts really kicked in, the national economy benefited. Many feel this drop was one of the reasons Bush I lost the election. The monetary costs of Charley will probably get close to, or exceed, the 27 billion dollar price tag of Andrew. This may cause the national economy to stall before the rebuilding efforts start in earnest and trickle into the economy. Might not be soon enough.
  • Does Wal-Mart Destroy Communities?

In a recent poll on the CNN website, viewers were asked the "poll" question of whether or not they believed that Wal-Mart stores were "good" for the "community." Perhaps it is not surprising that a large majority answered "no." Now, this by itself does not mean much, since these online "polls" are not scientific and reflect only the views of the moment by people who choose to participate. What is more significant, however, was the anti-Wal-Mart content of a speech recently given by Teresa Heinz Kerry, John Kerry's wife and an influential person in her own right. Speaking at a...
