PALM SPRINGS — A man died Tuesday after he was crushed by a tortilla oven behind an out-of-business supermarket. The man was part of a three-person crew attempting to load the 3,000-pound commercial oven onto a truck when it fell off a manual forklift, said Palm Springs Lt. Sal Abruscato. "We do not suspect any foul play at all," Abruscato said. "This is a horrible accident." The oven was one of many items auctioned off at the supermarket Monday, he said. The person who bought it hired the crew to deliver it.

High and drunk, he put the baby in the oven - which he left switched off and slightly ajar - and went to bed. It wasn’t until he woke at 5.30am (local time) to hear the baby’s cries coming from the oven that he realised what he had...

RAMAPO, N.Y. (CBS) ― Police arrested a 26-year-old woman Friday, claiming she abused her 7-year-old son by sticking him in the oven and turning it on as a form of punishment. Lherisson, 37, however, failed to report the boy's condition to Child Protective Services or police, as required by...
