    700,000 people a day would have been visiting the parks and that the surrounding areas are losing $76 million in visitor spending per day. The park service said it is losing $450,000 per day in revenue from entrance fees and other in-park expenditures, such as campground fees and boat rentals.

    Have the Park Rangers always been jerks or are they being threatened to be jerks or lose their jobs/pensions? I say this because it seems to me that some of them seem to be behaving over the top as if they have been spooked with their jobs/pension or their families have been threatened via NSA collected data. Just a deep feeling that has been building every time I hear a story about the behavior of Park Rangers and a "Feel the Pain Government Shutdown"....     A semi carrying porta potties pulled up yesterday beside the WW II Memorial in Washington D.C.. The porta potties were donated by private citezens to help out the visiting veterans since the facilities are closed. However, the park rangers turned the truck away and they were not allowed to unload. Michele Tennery witnessed this event and was astonished that the rangers could be so heartless in their treatment of the veterans.
