ALBANY -- A middle-school teacher who had been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a former student was found dead of an apparent suicide Monday morning, authorities said. James Izumizaki, 28, an Albany resident, was found between 10 and 10:30 a.m. in his car on Via Alamitos in San Lorenzo, according to Sgt. J.D. Nelson of the Alameda County Sheriff's Department. A pastor was sentenced Friday to 330 years in prison for sexually assaulting five boys between the ages of 9 and 15 in his Lake Forest apartment between 2007 and 2011. Oscar D. Perez, 69, was an Apostolic pastor and bishop at Iglesia Antigua, a church that rented space at St. George’s Episcopalian Church in Laguna Hills.  Perez befriended various families at the church, enlisted children to help with church services, and eventually began to invite the victims over to his apartment, sometimes for sleepovers, prosecutors said. BRENTWOOD • An 11-year-old boy identified a Ladue man in a police lineup as the man who exposed himself to the boy in the restroom of a Home Depot in Brentwood last winter, police say. . . The boy was at the store with his father and went into the restroom while his father waited in the store. While in the stall, the boy noticed a man in the next stall get down on his knees and expose his genitals under the stall, authorities said. The man then allegedly laid on the ground watching the boy use the restroom.
