At last check, 47 women have now said they were sexually harassed and/or assaulted by the producer Harvey Weinstein. That number is certain to grow. There’s no way a psychopath with a 30-year history of meeting with young women alone in hotel rooms clad only in a bathrobe only had 1.566 such assignations per annum. These astounding numbers do not suggest, as many now are, that Weinstein is a representative figure of American maleness in our time. It’s precisely the opposite: His is a story of demonic excess that is so horrifying because it is so exceptional. In that sense,...

Hollywood producer and Obama donor Harvey Weinstein said the United States is "embarrassing" because of its adherence to the Second Amendment and lack of universal healthcare. Appearing on Piers Morgan Tonight Friday, Weinstein said "this is the only the country in the world where we don't have health care. Countries embarrass us around the world." The country is embarrassing." Morgan asked Weinstein during the show's Friday installment "if...

Hollywood uncensoredBefore last Sunday's Oscars, arch-rival movie moguls Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Katzenberg amused themselves and 700 show business guests with a savage, over-the-top skit that left no titan untouched, least of all themselves. - - - - - - - - - - - -By Nikki Finke March 28, 2002 | You wouldn't believe what Hollywood titans do for fun when the cameras aren't on them and the reporters' pencils are put away: They call each other terrible names and insult innocent people and say exactly what's on their minds. And then they laugh about it. Last Saturday, on the...

Thursday’s New York Times bombshell, which has effectively ended Oscar-winning producer and Democrat super-donor Harvey Weinstein’s career, contains two equally disturbing pieces of news, only one of which the national media will report and explore. The first, of course, involves three decades of sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein, who has released a broad statement accepting “responsibility” for his behavior coupled with the claim that the Times got some things wrong. The second bombshell, the one our national media is already sweeping under the rug, is that for twenty-plus years, many in Hollywood believed Weinstein was abusing his power to procure,...

He was the kind of person American conservatism seeks to enable — the self-made man; the radical, pajama-clad individual; the author of his own destiny. And he idealized women as women, in a way the left no longer allows.Ironically, when given the choice of going full-throttle into hard-core pornography, and creating the kind of content the market now demanded, or bowing to mainstream traditional standards that shunned nudity on supermarket shelves, Playboy made the more conservative choice. Even in the battle to survive commercially, there were lines Hugh Hefner would not cross. He thus took his place alongside the very...

But a criminal defense attorney said the man is full of crap. The supposed spokesman, who also claimed the woman underwent gender reassignment surgery ...

Four years ago, when art Professor Elizabeth Stephens filmed the documentary “Ecosexual Love Story,” in which she and her partner licked trees, played with mud, and made love with the environment while naked, the term “ecosexuality” was still somewhat unknown. But a lot has happened since then, and ecosexuality isn’t such a mystery anymore. That interest can be traced in part back to Stephens, a UC Santa Cruz professor and one leader in the movement that melds art, sex and environmentalism, a la having sex with a tree or marrying the ocean. That interest can be traced in part back...

For a generation, progressives have portrayed fascism and Nazism as exemplified by sexual repression and moral conservatism. In this view, the left has an anti-Nazi sensibility because the left is into bohemianism and sexual expression. In my new book, “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of American Left,” I show that the fascists and Nazis, far from being repressed moral conservatives, were themselves sexually and stylistically bohemian. In style as well as in ideology, fascism and Nazism are phenomena of the political left. The whole notion that fascism and Nazism are forms of sexual repression is the invention of...
