It’s interesting to see groups that describe themselves as “pro-choice” attack organizations that offer pregnant women choices that don’t involve abortion. Planned Parenthood and NARAL, two of the largest abortion advocacy groups in the United States, have a history of fighting pro-life pregnancy centers that offer women and their babies life-affirming choices and support. But the latest group to launch a similar attack is a west coast United Methodist group. The Western Methodist Justice Movement recently urged its members to “put CPCs [Crisis Pregnancy Centers] on the defense” by supporting a California law that forces pregnancy centers to promote abortion,...

The conservative legal group Liberty Counsel is claiming that the public school district violated the Constitution by censoring the anti-abortion student group’s poster. The poster, which took over 25 hours to make, included hand-painted hearts and the phrase “3,000 Lives Are Ended Each Day.” . . . Administrators also asked the students to refrain from using the word, “abortion,” in club material, in written or oral communications, or on social media. Administrators even went as far as asking students from the club to sign an agreement that would bar them from seeking legal assistance to protect their right to express...

December 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Many Star Wars fans flocking to see Rogue One this weekend don't know the dark side of Mark Hamill, the actor who plays Luke Skywalker. But despite the attempted coercion, Maegan courageously resisted, and her baby, Autumn, was just born and is thriving. Maegan was unavailable for comment on this story, but she discussed the situation with LifeSiteNews for a previous report. She found out she...

FULL TITLE: Abortion Activists to Send Bloody Tampons to Texas Gov to Protest Requiring Burial for Aborted Babies Abortion activists have been turning to increasingly immature and potentially illegal actions in recent months in response to situations where they did not get their way. Their latest move is to urge women to send blood-soaked tampons to Texas pro-life Gov. Greg Abbott in protest of a new state rule requiring that aborted babies’ bodies be cremated or buried. The new rule, introduced in July by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, requires that abortion facilities, hospitals and other medical centers...

The Satanic Temple released a statement Saturday challenging new rules proposed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott which require aborted babies to be cremated or buried and go into effect Dec. 19th. The Satanic Temple called burial rites a “well-established component of religious practice” and said their members believe in “the inviolability of the body,” concluding that “as such these rules contradict our fundamental beliefs.” The Satanists invoked their First Amendment “right to practice our beliefs,” adding that “under the Religious Freedom Reform Act (RFRA), the State must present a compelling reason for why they want to enforce rules that inhibit...

Men who want to have sex with women who aren't interested in taking pills or getting abortions need to strap it up, wrap it up, or get a vasectomy. When I was 24, I decided against using hormonal birth control or getting an abortion unless absolutely medically necessary. At that time, I was dating and having sex with a man for about six months. We always used condoms, but that did not completely eliminate the possibility that I could become pregnant if we slipped up. So, I figured I was obligated to tell him about the choices I'd made. “If...

Mayor Martin Walsh of Boston, Massachusetts, has vowed to keep abortion clinics open in the city, even if President-elect Donald Trump succeeds with pro-life initiatives. Walsh said that if the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision is overturned, and the issue of legal abortion is again governed by the states, the city of Boston should probably have more abortion providers, to ensure that the procedure is available to women traveling from other states where abortion is banned. “That is something I am sure we will be focusing on as we move forward,” he said. Although President-elect Trump has never suggested...

FULL TITLE: Planned Parenthood Gets $500 Million in Tax Money, Spent $38 Million on Hillary Clinton’s Losing Campaign Political observers and commentators are devoting unparalleled attention to the astonishing results of last Tuesday’s national election. Abortion provider Planned Parenthood and abortion advocacy group NARAL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League) responded Wednesday to the news of President-elect Donald Trump’s win with statements warning of his vision being a “clear and present danger to women,” adding that they were “shocked” and “disgusted.” Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, sent out a fundraising email [1], saying, “Let's get all these words out of the way: Devastated. The Planned Parenthood abortion business this morning issued a desperate email to abortion advocates that support it following last night’s surprise defeat of pro-abortion presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The abortion company was forced to tell its supporters that it plans to stay open and will not be closing down as long as they continue providing financial support for it. Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards admitted that the abortion giant has devastated and angry after last night’s surprise election. She said she would understand it if abortion advocates wanted to just stay in bed today and ignore the reality of their...

Vanity Fair magazine just ended its third annual “New Establishment Summit” in San Francisco, a three-day conclave bringing together “titans of technology, politics, business, media and the arts for inspiring conversations on the issues and innovations shaping the future.” More accurately, what the magazine’s predominantly liberal readership would deem “inspiring.” At least one of those conversations, between New York magazine writer Frank Rich and purported humorist/Vanity Fair contributing editor Fran Lebowitz, hardly qualifies. Their discussion turned inevitably to the presidential campaign and Lebowitz offered this on how she “knew Trump wouldn’t win” long before the pesky election that actually decides...

Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, M.Sp.S. of San Antonio has shown the kind of leadership so badly needed in this election season. When the oxymoronic Catholics of Choice published a advertisement in the San Antonio newspaper (September 12), Archbishop Garcia-Siller answered with the following broadside. This statement has the ring of a bishop who has had enough of the nonsense and wants to set the record straight. Thank you Archbishop Garcia-Siller! (Italics are added for emphasis.) ARCHDIOCESE RESPONDS TO CATHOLICS FOR CHOICE ADVERTISEMENT IN SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS An organization called Catholics for Choice placed a full-page advertisement in the Sept. 12 edition...

Many Judeo-Christian leaders speak out against abortion, but the few who advocate for abortion often are the ones who get the most media attention. On Monday in Kentucky, pro-abortion clergy held a rally at the State Capitol to advocate for abortion and other issues, the State-Journal reports. The event was called the Higher Ground Moral Day of Action, and it was held in conjunction with other rallies nation-wide. Led by clergy, the event highlighted the upcoming election and called on candidates and elected officials to uphold “the most sacred moral principles of our faith and constitutional values.” These included “the...

Salon Magazine has accused the Republican Party of being out of touch with “post-Christian America,” warning the GOP that if it doesn’t renege on its alliance with Christianity, it will soon become irrelevant. Ted Cruz’s failure to get the GOP nomination, Matthew Sheffield proclaims in Salon, “is a perfect window into trends that will set the pace of American politics for decades to come: Americans are moving away from Christianity, including people most likely to vote Republican.” To back up his claims, Sheffield cites the 2014 Pew Research study finding that 23 percent of Americans say they’re “unaffiliated” with any...

**SNIP** "My voting position on abortion hasn't really changed," Kaine said in an interview with CNN's "State of the Union." "I am a Catholic and I accept the church's teaching on this issue, but I do not believe that the job of somebody in public life is to basically say, 'I'm a Catholic so my job is to make our lives consistent with Catholic doctrine and make everybody follow it. "This is an important personal matter and I've always supported Roe V. Wade," Kaine said. "I think the last thing we need is government that intrudes upon the decision-making of...
