Current TV has filed a countersuit in its war with Keith Olbermann ... claiming the "Countdown" host got his walking papers, in part, because he BARELY showed up to work. In the docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Current TV claims Olbermann missed 19 out of 41 work days in January and February in his attempt to "sabotage" the network.
  • Palin Fights Back: Kathy Griffin a ‘50-Year-Old Adult Bully… Has-Been Comedienne’

Well played by Palin. Griffin, like so many others on the left, relentlessly bully conservatives like Sarah Palin and even target her helpless children while simultaneously decrying other bullies. The hypocrisy is so painstakingly obvious it could only be overlooked by people incapable of thinking clearly. But Griffin, like so many others on the left, falls squarely into the “incapable of thinking clearly” category.

Rick Santorum the senator didn’t shy from controversy. Apparently, neither will Rick Santorum the presidential candidate. The former senator from Pennsylvania speaks and acts like a man working diligently to become a dark-horse favorite for president. Dark is the operative word: During an hour-long interview with National Journal last week at a busy coffee shop just blocks from the Capitol, no one appeared to recognize the potential presidential candidate. Santorum is making up for his low profile by taking aim at better-known potential rivals: former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. In a race where nobody...

CNN's Rick Sanchez goes at it with Fox News. "They are using a lie to try and divide people into camps," he says of the allegation CNN didn't cover the 9/12 rallies. A feud that is probably good for everyone involved.
  • Romney Suggests Palin 'Beautiful,' Not Influential

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney joked about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s place on Time’s list of influential people, saying, “But was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people?” In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” broadcast Sunday, Romney was responding to a question from the moderator as to whether Time’s inclusion of Palin and talk show host Rush Limbaugh on their list of “The World’s Most Influential People” was a positive or negative thing for the Republican Party. Romney added, “I think there are a lot more influential Republicans than that would...

Did he or didn't he? Technically, Hardball host Chris Matthews did say "she-devil" when talking about Sen. Hillary Clinton during the primaries. But now he's fighting back over how it's being interpreted. "I never called her a she-devil," Matthews says of the phrase that has been dogging him as he considers a run for the Senate in 2010. Here's what happened: Matthews opened a November 2007 show that explored GOP attacks on Clinton, who at the time was the Democratic front-runner. "She-devil? Republicans are absolutely demonizing Hillary Clinton," he barked before the screen displayed Clinton with horns. "You can see...

A gay man training to become a member of the lay clergy quit his job at a church college after he was bullied by his "sex obsessed" female manager, a tribunal has heard. Stephen Price, 25, said he was constantly taunted about his sexuality by Mair Jones and that "every conversation" turned to sex. The assistant church centre manager said Mrs Jones, 40, loved making double entendres about homosexuals and described herself as the "Queen of Innuendos". Mr Price, who is claiming sexual harassment, constructive dismissal and sexual discrimination by the Presbyterian Church of Wales, said he was driven out...

Bail was set at $1 million today for the San Francisco planning director's companion, who is accused of setting fire to historic Nob Hill residence of the fire chief where the couple were living. Lance Farber, 47, pleaded not guilty to felony arson and vandalism in a brief appearance at the Hall of Justice, shortly before Superior Court Judge John Conway set bail. "I am concerned that this is a public safety issue," the judge said. Farber was ordered to return to court Friday after being evaluated for migraine headaches. His lawyer said the headaches have worsened since Farber was...
