Greece must take immediate action to end the violence against migrants and asylum seekers at the border between Turkey and Greece, an independent UN human rights expert said on Monday, expressing alarm at reports of violence at the hands of some Greek security officers and unidentified armed men. "I am very concerned about the reported pushbacks of asylum seekers and migrants, which constitutes a violation of the prohibition of collective expulsions and the principle of non-refoulement," said Felipe González Morales, Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants. SALT LAKE CITY -- The Salt Lake City School District has placed Edison Elementary Principal Laurie Lacy on leave, and Salt Lake City Police have launched an investigation, following an incident that police said ended with DCFS getting involved. Police and the school district would not give exact details of the incident, but a source close to the situation told Fox 13 that Lacy told a student to pull his pants down in her office as a punishment.

Some 743 Christians and 10 Yazidis were the victims of religious motivated attacks between February and September 2016, with some of victims aged five to 12 years old. A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with several sexual assaults that occurred at the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark over the weekend. Police were called to the waterpark at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers allege a man followed and inappropriately touched six teenage girls while they were swimming at the waterpark. In the latest shocking incident a 27-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted while waiting at a bus station in the village of Grinzing on the outskirts of the capital Vienna.
