HAMILTON — A store owner shot and killed a man attempting to rob his Main Street business Saturday. Hamilton police officers responded to Mazagan Urban Ware, 201 Main St., at 8:34 p.m. on a report of a robbery attempt that ended when the owner shot the suspect, according to a news release from the Hamilton Police Department. Two men were shot, including the suspect, during a botched robbery attempt of a Marrero sandwich shop Saturday night, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said. Officers responded to a reported shooting at 11:24 p.m. Saturday at Chateau Orleans Po-Boys, at 2324 Barataria Blvd. They believe that 18-year-old Robert McClure, who lives in the 6700 block Mather Drive in Marrero, entered the shop through a backdoor, armed with a shotgun. He allegedly pointed the weapon at a shop worker who was cleaning up, and ordered him to the front of the store, authorities said.

A would-be robber was shot dead by a person with a concealed handgun license outside a Metro PCS store in Ft. Worth on Tuesday afternoon. Police said the suspect approached an off-duty security guard around 6:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Rosecrans Avenue while simulating a handgun and demanding property from the victim. BRADENTON - An armed suspect attempting to commit a robbery was shot dead by the victim in Bradenton Sunday night. Joshua Pinkham, 39, and Roy Potter, 40, were sitting outside a duplex on the 4200 block of 24 th Street West when three masked men approached them at 10:20 p.m. One of the suspects, 26-year-old James Brady, pointed a gun at Pinkham and ordered him to the ground. Pinkham pulled out a handgun and the two men exchanged fire. The suspect was shot and the two other suspects fled on foot.
