The peaceniks strike back. Last week, I wrote about Joshua Sparling, a disabled 82nd Airborne Division veteran who says he was mistreated by anti-war protestors at a Jan. 29 rally in Washington, D.C.. Sparling and a few dozen others went to the National Mall to stage a counterprotest amid the tens of thousands of people denouncing U.S. involvement in Iraq. Sparling says he was cursed at, called names and threatened with physical harm. Since then, calls and letters have come in from the other side. A number of blogs and Internet sites have detailed Sparling’s activities, too. All together, they...

Aug 2nd was the first Wednesday of the month. Another opportunity for Freepers to counter protest moonbats in South Carolina! Columbia had turned into a traffic Hades that day and I was running late just sitting in traffic that was not moving. I needed to get to my weekly post on time since I was hoping to see some fellow Freepers. I decided to hoof it and parked a few blocks away. I joined my friend Amy who I have been informed is a Lurker since she is not yet a Freeper. JOIN, Amy, we need you!! As we turned...

I (cf_river_rat) have the privilege of working in South Carolina this week and was honored to be the guest of FReeper flib and her cohort, lurker “CCAW”, at their weekly vigil countering some aged hippies’ pathetic attempt at demoralizing America’s brave warriors. These ladies have been countering the sad efforts of the America-hating left in Columbia for the better part of a year now, and their perseverance is exceptional. If only 25% of FReepers could be as doggedly determined as these two! 29 March 2006 It was a beautiful spring evening in central South Carolina as a few dedicated soldier...

Wed. was another in a long line of Wednesdays spent in front of the statehouse in Columbia, SC. I have been doggedly counter protesting some misguided peaceniks (A.K.A. appeasement-niks). As I am a new Freeper, this is my first after action. This past Wednesday I was the only counter protester. Usually I have another army wife who joins me. As I walked up the street toward the location where 9-10 members of this scrappy group were assembled, cars beeped and gave thumbs up and shouts of support while I walked with my “Support the troops, Support the Mission” and my...

This FReep took place on Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Happy Bookseller store in Columbia, SC from about 2pm until 4pm or so.

The bookstore, on Forest Drive, shares a building with a toy store. There is a small parking lot in front of the stores which was completely close off by the police. At one end of the parking lot there is a residential street. At the other end is another parking lot for stores further back from the street than the bookstore and the toy store.

Preparing to greet the commies - Early Saturday Morning DStarr chooses a sign from her arsenal as she prepares to confront the leftist march. This past Saturday, March 18, 2006 we conducted our third annual FReep in commemoration of the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As in past years, leftists marched through the streets of Fayetteville, NC (home of Fort Bragg and Pope Airforce Base) and congregated in Rowan Park for their day of music and speeches, coordinated by NC Peace and Justice Coalition. The support the troops rally was conducted on the hillside overlooking Rowan Park. Wolfpat's sound...
