the Left never takes a break from falsely accusing the Right of fomenting hatred and violence through political speech. The MSM never takes a break from whitewashing leftist intolerance, death threats, and extremism — and engaging in selective reporting (or rather, non-reporting) of the long history of leftists’ manufacturing of hatred for political gain. If you can’t stand the heat, manufacture a hate crime epidemic. After years of covering racial hoaxes on college campuses and victim sob stories in the public arena, I’ve encountered countless opportunists who live by that demented mindset. At best, the fakers are desperately seeking 15...

Activist Maurice Joseph Schwenkler, 24, pleaded guilty Monday to a second-degree misdemeanor for smashing windows at the Colorado Democratic Party headquarters last summer. Anarchist websites across the country raised money for Schwenkler's $5,000 bail, and identified him as "a transgendered anarchist" using the name Ariel Attack. Authorities have consistently identified him as male. The gay, lesbian and transgender protest group Denver Bash Back characterized Schwenkler as one of its "friends and comrades." Initially, Democratic Party officials blamed conservative ... Then it became known that Schwenkler had previously worked for a Democratic candidate.

Sadly, for Republicans who have richly enjoyed watching Democrats getting a taste of their own medicine at town halls across the country, the August recess is winding down. Still, there are already so many memories. Humiliating, awful, scarring memories that are likely to still be haunting Democrats when November of 2010 rolls around. 7) Steny Hoyer vs. Don Jeror: Nancy Pelosi's condescending 2nd in command, Steny Hoyer, ran into a buzzsaw named Dan Jeror who, after emphasizing that he was a registered Democrat, got off one of the best lines of the summer so far: "Why would you guys try...

Littwin: Bemused by the pane and the story By Mike LittwinDenver Post Columnist Posted: 08/26/2009 01:00:00 AM MDT Updated: 08/26/2009 01:01:53 AM MDT The story begins in the way that a true-to-life political thriller should begin: with a cop in chase, getaway bicycles, a couple of hammers and, of course, latex gloves. You know immediately the story has to lead somewhere intriguing. But if you were able to figure out the surprise twist at story's end — well, what may be the story's end — you ought to be working with John le Carre instead of wasting your time doing whatever it...

One of two people suspected of shattering 11 windows Tuesday morning at the state Democratic Party headquarters has an arrest record and a history of helping a Democratic political candidate, public records show. Police said that about 2:20 a.m., 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, now in custody, and an at-large accomplice took a hammer to the picture windows displaying posters touting President Barack Obama and his health care reform efforts. Early Tuesday, Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak said the damage to her building in Denver's art district was a consequence of "an effort on the other side to stir up hate." She...

A 24-year-old arrested this morning on suspicion of smashing 11 windows at Colorado Democratic Party headquarters tried to conceal his identity while allegedly committing the crime, according to police descriptions.
