  • Obama Solyndra Scandal:No Outrage From Maxine Waters,NAACP,MSNBC & Liberal Leaders. Hope&Change?

Obama and his cronies flush 535 Billion down the toilet, yet we hear no public outrage from the NAACP? Wouldn't you think they would be enraged that the 1/2 Billion would of been better spent to create job for black teens? Where is Nancy Pelosi&Reid? How come no Democratic Leader is denouncing Obama on this issue? Yet Pelosi has a cow when a congressman yells "YOU LIE" to Obama. If this had had happened during the Bush years, what do you think would of happened? NAACP Screaming for Impeachment?
  • Regarding Education: When Will Republican Leaders Wake Up?

    Fast Pitch ^ | Sept. 8, 2011 | Bruce Deitrick Price
This is a recurring annoyance for me. The RNC seems to have no idea that education is hugely important to most Americans, and should be a major campaign issue. Frankly, big visions are NOT required. Details need NOT be mentioned. Just say that public schools are a mess, liberal ideas made them that way, and Republicans can turn things around. All true.Problem is, we need people at the top with practical common sense and a desire to win. These people need to be aggressive. The weird wizards now in charge of public education will not notice anything less than a...

Republican Michael Reagan has shot down speculation that he will challenge Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2012, saying he has no plans to jump in the race. "I am not crazy enough to run..No I am not considering a run for senate," Reagan wrote in an email to The Bee.
  • Why the Media Hates Republican Women

    09/07/2011 9:23:36 AM PDT · by twarogj · 13 replies · 1+ views
For anyone who has watched coverage of the 2008 or 2012 Presidential election, it becomes obvious after about 5 minutes that the media takes extra care to smear Republican women as unqualified bigots. Whether it be the media attacking Palin’s family values stance in regards to her daughter’s pregnancy or the insulting photograph that Newsweek Magazine chose to publish of Michele Bachmann; the media continues to run a vicious smear campaign against Republican female candidates. This had always been an issue that I sort of wrote off as further left wing media bias, until MSNBC journalist Chris Matthews attempted to...
  • Where Were You When They Raised The Debt Ceiling (Part Two)

    http://drdan4congress.com/2011/08/17/debt2/ ^ | Fri, August 26, 2011 | Dr. Dan Eichenbaum
In an earlier post on the debt ceiling, I asked if you could recall where you were when a “sentinel event” such as the bombing of Perl Harbor, assassination of JFK or the terrorist attacks of 9-11 occurred. These incidents had a profound effect on life in America, for both our national psyche and for each of us personally. On August 2, 2011, without any significant cuts in the level of federal spending, the Senate voted by a wide margin in favor of a bill already passed by the House to raise the debt ceiling. A modern day sentinel event...
  • Herman Cain Endorses Mourdock Over Lugar (Indiana Alert)

    Roll Call ^ | August 16, 2011 | Shira Toeplitz
Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock picked up an endorsement from a presidential candidate in his primary challenge to Sen. Dick Lugar (R-Ind.) this week. Former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain announced he would support Mourdock’s primary bid to unseat Lugar during a Monday visit to Indianapolis, the Associated Press reported. Cain reportedly met with Mourdock after addressing Indiana Republicans on the invitation of the state party. Indiana Republican Party Chairman Eric Holcomb invited all the GOP presidential candidates to speak to the Republican faithful in the state, but Cain was the first to schedule a visit. Cain placed fifth in Iowa's...

    The Columbus Dispatch ^ | August 8, 2011 | Joe Hallett
U.S. Sen. Rob Portman today endorsed fellow Republican Josh Mandel, the current state treasurer, for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Sherrod Brown. Although Portman's backing of Mandel was not unexpected, he hadn't announced it until today when he met with The Dispatch's editorial board. "I'm helping Josh," Portman said. "I guess I haven't officially endorsed him yet, so I guess this is a news opportunity. But I'm helping Josh. I don't know if anybody else is going to get in. I think his fundraising in the second quarter has been pretty impressive. I think he's a good...
  • Are the Iraq/Afghan wars really partially to blame for S&P downgrade?

    Milwaukee Story ^ | 8.7.11 | Shaun Booth
It seems like more and more in the GOP are starting to look at the wars as a way to cut spending. And with the tragedy of loosing some of our best soldiers yesterday it doesn't really seem worth it any more to stay over there in Iraq and Afghanistan. Especially given the financial situation we are in. The wars and entitlement spending need to be cut drastically to get us on track to at least sustain our debt, if we don't do that I think things could get even uglier in the short term.
  • Thompson on who is strongest Senate candidate? I believe it's myself'

    Today's TMJ Channel 4 News ^ | August 3, 2011 | Charles Benson
Republican recall candidates are getting help on the campaign trail these days from Tommy Thompson. But the real question; Is Tommy running for U.S. Senate? There appears to be little doubt that Tommy Thompson will run for the Senate. He tells TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson he has regretted every day not running in 2010 and he's sure sounding like a candidate in 2012. When asked if he is going to run, Thompson said "As I've told everybody, I'm very serious about it." If you are wondering if Tommy Thompson is really serious this time about running, here are two reasons...
  • McCain: GOP on 'Super Committee' Will Fight Tax Increases (Laff Riot!)

    NewsMax ^ | August 3, 2011 | Jim Meyers and Kathleen Walter
Sen. John McCain tells Newsmax he can’t blame Americans for being disgusted by Congress and the president’s performance in the debt ceiling crisis, but insists that Republicans were determined not to “betray” voters’ 2010 election mandate to cut federal spending. The GOP’s 2008 presidential candidate vows he will be fighting “on the Senate floor” against deep cuts in military spending, states that he favors eliminating all agricultural subsidies, calls pork barrel spending “corruption,” and charges that President Obama was a “bystander” in the debt ceiling debate. The Arizona legislator also says he is “very concerned” about another four years under...

Below is a federal law in place that is suppose to be taken seriously. I am not in the position to enforce the law other than contact local authorities when i suspect an illegal alien is residing here in my city. I can not enforce the law set forth but is the responsibility for our senators and governors to enforce the law by making new laws to entice the illegal aliens to no longer live in this country. Last estimate of illegals in our contry has been over 77 million and over 50 million are taking our jobs. Thru properganda...

Hawaii's Republican former governor Linda Lingle said she would get along well with a group of former governors in the Senate should she run for and win the seat being vacated by Sen. Daniel Akaka's (D) retirement, the latest sign that she is seriously considering a race. "Governors bring a particularly different approach in the United States Senate than those people who have come just from the legislative side," Lingle told members of the conservative Grassroot Institute of Hawaii at the Japanese Cultural Center on Friday. "They are less ideological. They are more practical. They are more agenda-driven. They are...

Responding to criticism from liberal Democrats, White House officials said Sunday night that the deal President Obama helped broker provides a path to end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy while protecting domestic programs. The president won major concessions, officials said, by ensuring the debt limit is not "held hostage" and up for another vote in just a few months and also by protecting domestic programs including Pell Grants and Medicaid. The officials said that no matter what, the Bush tax cuts for the rich will end, whether by veto if Republicans push them along, by the failure of...

I understand The Boener Bill raises the debt ceiling $900 Billion for immediate spending and "cuts" $1+ Trillion over 10 years? Are there any real cuts in federal spending or are these cuts merely decreases in increases? Any actual numbers on any of this? Briefly in understandable terms is anyone able to tell me what the Boener Bill consists of?

Just got this from Glenn Beck's The Blaze news blog. Wow, McCain is turning more and more into Walter Matthau each day. Here is the link to the Blaze article. Comment at will. Sorry ahead of time for the short post. More are coming in the next few weeks, as I have been on hiatus for the summer. Look for a list of Repubs that vote for either a Bonner plan or something like it.

This is a make-or-break week for me with my own deadline — hence the relative radio silence from me around here. I’ve been trying very hard to reserve a few brain cells on the side to follow the debt-ceiling stuff as I wade through more obscure research. Yesterday, I took time out to watch the Jay Carney grilling discussed in the Corner yesterday. I think it may, in a small way, be a watershed moment. No, not for the country. But for the WH press corps. Carney seemed to be providing a real “Hey I guess you’ve just figured out...
  • David Brooks: Blowhards and show horses kicked away GOP's golden moment

    07/19/2011 8:40:21 PM PDT · by 2ndDivisionVet · 17 replies
Over the past months, Republicans enjoyed enormous advantages. Opinion polls showed that voters are eager to reduce the federal debt, and they want to do it mostly but not entirely through spending cuts. There was a Democratic president eager to move to the center. He floated certain ideas that would be normally unheard of from a Democrat. According to widespread reports, White House officials talked about raising the Medicare eligibility age, cutting Social Security by changing the inflation index, freezing domestic discretionary spending and offering to pre-empt the end of the Bush tax cuts in exchange for a broad tax-reform...
