Former Oklahoma House Speaker T.W. Shannon is surging in the Oklahoma Senate Republican primary and now leads the other frontrunner in the race, Rep. James Lankford, in a new survey out from a pro-Shannon group. The survey, conducted by the GOP firm Public Opinion Strategies for Oklahomans for a Conservative Future, gives Shannon 42 percent support among likely Republican primary voters to Lankford’s 32 percent support. That’s a gain of 19 points from another survey in mid-March, when Lankford led Shannon by nine points. The third candidate in the race, former state Sen. I would like to start a discussion about the various candidates running against Cornyn in the Texas US senate race. Cornyn is a RINO and is running the most disgusting negative campaign against Stockman I have ever seen. It is frightening in its machine like focus. My lovely wife compiled a list of candidates and I thought I would post the information here in case anyone is looking for alternatives or has any comments. GRAHAM CONTINUES TO BE OBAMA REID PELOSI SPOKESMAN For the second time in just a few days, Lindsey Graham has issued statements that have turned him into a viral internet sensation, drawing scorn and derisive laughter from conservatives across the country. TRENTON The race for U.S. Senate in New Jersey is set. Democrat Robert Menendez and Republican Tom Kean Jr. won their parties' nominations in Tuesday's primary. Albio Sires is ahead in his bid to serve Menendez's remaining term in the House. Sires has a slight lead over Perth Amboy Mayor Joe Vas in the primary to run for the seat in November. Paul Hackett, an Iraq war veteran and popular Democratic candidate in Ohio's closely watched Senate contest, said yesterday that he was dropping out of the race and leaving politics altogether as a result of pressure from party leaders.
