President Bill Clinton and Naomi Campbell are among the rich and famous who have flown aboard convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, according to flight logs from Epstein’s private aircraft. The flight logs from 2003-05 have been filed in one of the many civil lawsuits pending against the billionaire money manager. Nearly two dozen young women have filed lawsuits against Epstein — some already settled — all alleging Epstein sexually abused them as minors at his El Brillo Way home. Epstein, 57, was released from jail in July after serving 13 months of an 18-month state sentence for soliciting...

President Obama recently shifted authority for approving sales to China of missile and space technology from the White House to the Commerce Department -- a move critics say will loosen export controls and potentially benefit Chinese missile development. The president issued a little-noticed "presidential determination" Sept. 29 that delegated authority for determining whether missile and space exports should be approved for China to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke.

President Obama, speaking now at former President Bill Clinton's Clinton Global Initiative, opened with a tribute to his Democratic predecessor's raw political talent. "He looks you in the eye, feels your pain, he makes you feel like you're the only person in the room. What could I say?" Obama asked. "I was vulnerable, just as all of you have been vulnerable to his charms."

ALBANY - Talk about Presidential pile-ons. First, President Obama sent word to Gov. Paterson that maybe he shouldn't run for election next year. Now, former President Bill Clinton is weighing in, saying Paterson is "not in good shape now" politically, but expressing confidence Paterson will do what's best for his state. Interviewed on NBC's "Today" show Tuesday, Clinton called Paterson "a good man" and said he trusted him to "make a good decision." Clinton's comments came as a new poll shows Paterson has been unable to turn his ratings around.

Rush and Malloy’s Gossip column in the New York Daily News reports today that Bill Clinton’s offices are infested with bed bugs, and employees have been evacuated during treatment: "Bedbugs have sent Bill Clinton and his staff fleeing the former President’s offices, a source tells us. No word on whether WJC actually has a bed in his Harlem suite, but the infestation is said to have been so bad that exterminators told Clintonistas to take a few days off." That’s all we know so far. I do not wish bed bugs on anyone, but one positive outcome is that high...

Buzz is building that Chelsea Clinton will get married on Martha's Vineyard this summer. Sources on the island tell us that the former first daughter will wed Marc Mezvinsky at Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's home in Chilmark this August. The wedding coincides with President Barack Obama's rumored vacation on the Vineyard. To prepare for the A-list affair, Danson and Steenburgen are said to be doing extensive renovations on their property. Vineyard caterer Jaime Hamlin, who helped throw one of Bill Clinton's birthday parties on the island, said there's plenty of local excitement about Chelsea's upcoming nupitals, especially among vendors...

Bill Clinton regrets some things he said - and didn't say - on the campaign trail. But there's one thing he still can't utter: Barack Obama is ready to be President. "You can argue that nobody is ready to be President," the former President told ABC News. "You can argue that even if you've been vice president for eight years, that no one can be fully ready for the pressures of the office," Clinton said Monday during a visit to Rwanda. That's probably not what Team Obama wanted to hear from the former commander in chief, whose role in Obama's...

"Breathtakingly" misleading. That's what former president Bill Clinton called a question Tim Russert asked his wife at this week's Democratic presidential candidates' debate. And boy was he mad. "The implication was that in the last few weeks since she'd been a candidate, I had endeavored to cover up records involving her. You agree with that? That's what people thought when they heard that question," Clinton said. "Here are the facts." He asserts the letter in question is five years old, involves Hillary only incidentally and requests that the National Archives speed up the release of certain documents, not slow it...

Mr. DORNAN of California. I yield to the gentleman from California. Mr. HUNTER. Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman for yielding to me. I have been quite taken with listening to the gentleman from Orange County, Mr. Dornan, and Mr. Cunningham, my seatmate, and to Mr. Johnson, talking about where Bill Clinton was during this time and the fact that he was demonstrating against the United States in Great Britain and Norway. However, I thought it might also be appropriate at this time to go to the same year that he was demonstrating against America and talk about what other...

Former President May Still Be Ultimate Power Broker (CBS) HARLEM -- At about 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, 13 floors above 125th Street off Fifth in Harlem, the former President of the United States walks into a packed double conference-sized room with not enough room on the riser in the back for all the TV cameras. And only two or three of the cameras are from local news or the usual networks. Many are from business outlets, and half are from international news agencies, particularly outfits that cover Latin America. Because standing there with Mr. Clinton are Frank Giustra, one of...

Voters are torn between competing cravings: Change or experience in 2008? They are demanding something new, but there is comfort in the tried and true. The public's low opinion of Washington and growing concern about the direction of the country point to 2008 being a "change" election, one like the campaigns of 1974 and 1992 when people looked for a marked departure from the status quo. But the war in Iraq and the rise of global terrorism make for an anxious electorate and could turn this into a "war" election, one like the campaigns of 1944 and 2004 when voters...

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) said yesterday that there are risks in sending bills to President Bush that cut off troop funding in Iraq and that passing such bills may not be possible. Clinton, taking questions following a speech to the National Jewish Democratic Council, was asked by former Rep. Martin Frost (D-Texas) what “the chances are” Congress will be able to send such bills to Bush, get them signed or override an expected veto. “I think it will be extremely challenging if at all possible,” Clinton said. Clinton put the blame on Bush, criticizing the president for not being...

They were supposed to be the A Team in American politics. The Clinton Machine that inspired fear and admiration throughout the political world. They had guided Hillary through two successful Senate races in a state where she had never lived and helped her recover from scandals that nearly crippled her -- the pardons, the White House gifts, the Peter Paul fundraiser. They seemed invincible. But ever since the presidential campaign started, the Clinton operation has looked amateurish, flat-footed, defensive, and tactically clumsy. They don't seem to be at all ready for the big time. Obama has repeatedly outmaneuvered Hillary's campaign,...

"Clinton Fights to Keep Impeachment Taboo" headlined the Washington Post, with the following subheadline: "After Spat, Campaigns Know to Expect Swift Reprisal for any Hint of the Scandal." And the Post reported: "Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has a new commandment for the 2008 presidential field: Thou shalt not mention anything related to the impeachment of her husband." Can you believe this? The American people are now expected through all members of the media – and all election crowd questioners – to observe censorship. There are to be no questions regarding impeachment, trial and conviction for perjury and obstruction of justice...

The former president is expected to headline the annual dinner of the New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators. The exact subject of his address isn't yet known. But the subtext that's drawing him to the State Capital on a Sunday night in the dead of winter; his wife's bid for the White House. "Politics 101," said Keith Wright. The black community is vital in capturing the Democratic primary from challenger Barack Obama. And observers and officials believe Bill Clinton finally accepted the longstanding offer for that reason -- to shore up Hillary Clinton's support among...

Former President Bill Clinton toured a rebuilt school and new homes Friday in a southern Indian coastal village that was devastated by the deadly tsunami in 2004, and he declared the hamlet a model of reconstruction. "This area is the first in all of the tsunami-hit region where everyone who's lost their home has had it replaced," Clinton said. Hundreds of people lined the streets to greet Clinton, the top U.N. envoy for the tsunami recovery effort. He accepted drawings and wooden dolls from the children before watching an impromptu puppet show in the hamlet. The mammoth wave destroyed 130...
