The fiancee of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez will be called to testify in his murder trial Friday, two people with knowledge of the matter told The Associated Press. Shayanna Jenkins was granted immunity by the court in February, which means she can be compelled to testify or face time behind bars. There had been a question over whether prosecutors would call Jenkins, who has been in a relationship with Hernandez, 25, since high school and is the mother of his 2-year-old daughter.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported Wednesday that retail sales clerk and cashier were the two largest occupations in the United States in May 2014, with their numbers increasing slightly since 2013. In its annual report on wages and occupational employment, the BLS found that 4.6 million Americans worked in retail sales while 3.4 million more worked as cashiers, making up almost six percent of total U.S. employment. The two job categories increased by a combined 400,000 workers since 2012. Retail workers made $24,020 a year on average, while cashiers made $20,670, according to the BLS. …

Mandeville Police arrested an Abita Springs woman Wednesday (March 25) who allegedly tried to hide her impregnation through an extramarital affair by crying rape. Gina Louise Causey, 40, was charged with criminal mischief, police said. Causey showed up with her husband at police headquarters Tuesday, spinning a tale of being raped at gunpoint in December 2014 near the Mandeville lakefront, police said. I work in a major department store west of the Pittsburgh area and I sold some jewelry to a lady who was buying it foe her grandaughter's tea party. Just to make conversation, I referenced the Tea Party political group. She said how bad they were and Ted Cruz is "too Christian." I asked, "what do you mean by that?" The man shot and killed by Smyrna police Tuesday after they said he tried to run down officers who went to his Vinings workplace to arrest him had a history of running from police. As part of its annual college rankings, The Princeton Review ranks the US colleges with the most conservative students. While a few of the schools on the list are big sports and party schools, 20% of the colleges in the ranking are military schools.
