Editor’s Note: The following is the new epilogue from Max Blumenthal’s book, Republican Gomorrah, now out in paperback (Basic/Nation Books, 2009). I am not sure when I first detected the noxious fumes that would envelop the conservative movement in the Obama era. It might have been early on, in April 2009, when I visited a series of gun shows in rural California and Nevada. Perusing tables piled high with high-caliber semi-automatic weapons and chatting with anyone in my vicinity, I heard urgent warnings of mass roundups, concentration camps, and a socialist government in Washington. “These people that are purchasing these...

Submitter's Note: I have confirmed with LA Fitness' corporate headquarters; all members are prohibited from carrying guns. So the scene of this massacre was a classic FSA "safe haven from guns", which made it a ripe target for a twisted sicko.

The gunman who killed three women in an aerobics class at a Pittsburgh-area gym bought accessories for his weapons from the same dealer that sold a gun to the Virginia Tech shooter. George Sodini, 48, purchased the items from TGSCOM Inc. of Green Bay, Wis., before committing the Aug. 4 massacre that left three women dead and nine wounded. He then killed himself. It wasn't immediately clear what accessories Sodini bought. Seung-Hui Cho purchased a .22-caliber handgun from TGSCOM in February 2007, two months before he killed 32 people at Virginia Tech. Police investigating Tuesday's shootings at the L.A. Fitness...

© 2009 George SodiniI have another subject I want to address for today's Gun Rights Examiner column, but a developing story demands at least acknowledgment. We're still learning facts concerning yesterday's shooting at a Pittsburgh-area LA Fitness Gym. No doubt the "gun control" argument will flare up anew. For now, here's something I'm not seeing gaining much traction--yet. A website referred to (but not linked to) in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review account for the gunman, George Sodini. I see as I'm composing this The Pittsburgh Channel.com is confirming the website is real. Here's the link to go inside a disturbing mind....

Why do this?? To young girls? Just read below. I kept a running log that includes my thoughts and actions, after I saw this project was going to drag on. November 5, 2008: Planned to do this in the summer but figure to stick around to see the election outcome. This particular one got so much attention and I was just curious. Not like I give a flying fcuk who won, since this exit plan was already planned. Good luck to Obama! He will be successful. The liberal media LOVES him. Amerika has chosen The Black Man. Good! In light...
