McGee said he issued an apology on his Facebook page. "Thank you for holding me accountable. [video goes here] The panelists are discussing populist sentiment in America as part of a discussion about the election of Bill de Blasio in NYC. The discussion spans a commercial break, and in the second half, Katrina Vanden Heuvel is addressing the idea that Republican populism has been successful in stirring up emotion and movement based on a message of lower taxes and limited government. Vanden Heuvel...

On MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry this morning, the host apologized for remarks she made on her show last weekend, a story first broken here at The Right Scoop. She apologized "without reservation or qualification" to the Romney family, and very emotionally to interracial families everywhere: ... So the only group due an apology yet to hear one, and who will almost certainly never hear one, are Republicans across the nation, who are caricatured and characterized as obviously racist every single day, based solely on their party affiliation. Unfortunately, as we'll show later today in a follow-up post, the racist assumption about...

PSY is backtracking on that invisible horse of his. The hugely successful “Gangnam Style” rapper shocked many earlier today when anti-American statements he made at a protest concert in 2004 came to light. Among the incendiary lyrics: “Kill those f—king Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f—king Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughter-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully.” …

In a new follow-up piece, Bazelon writes that Justice Ginsburg “made it clear today that the issue she...

S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford sent the following e-mail apology Monday evening. I write to apologize and ask for your forgiveness.
