Meeting a famous makeup artist, what a daunting prospect! I am due to meet famed English makeup artist, Jennifer Lenard on the 19th April. She has worked on many fashion shows and TV projects. Her TV projects include: Dalziel and Pascoe, Crossroads, Last of the Summer Wine and many period dramas. Recently, Jennifer has opened her own shop and make up school where she teaches pupils from all over Great Britain. She is also an examiner, which signifies she has the power to pass or fail pupils as she sees fit. I meet Jennifer at the school located in Swadlincote,...

Thierry Mugler, the French parfumer, designer and label all wrapped into one, shows off his Spring/Summer 2010 collection thanks to model Daria (via Supreme Management) and photographer Miguel Reveriego. The Mugler creations are bold and wow-provoking in some instances, especially the diagonally, chunky-striped dress, sure to be an attention-getter in whatever setting it’s worn. Thierry also has the Fashion Fu at a high level with his flirtatious and dynamic rompers and jumpsuits, which seem to bring out the best in a woman’s body.

Actress Liv Tyler — Armageddon, Lord of the Rings, The Strangers — who started modeling at age 14, does the spokesmodel thing for the S/S 2010 G-Star Raw collection. G-Star, those delightful and innovative denim-nairs, who began making their jeans back in 1989, and have expanded into a wide range of apparel for both men and women, seem to do well in leather too. We dig their long women’s jackets, a perfect compliment to the Raw denim.

Vegas went Country or Country went Vegas as the 45th Annual ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards were held Sunday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Hosted by the affable Reba McEntire, our fave Taylor Swift, who performed an eye-catching performance of Change was surprisingly shut out of the awards with Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood dominating the proceedings. It was truly a Country night for the Ladies. We liked the 2010 ACM Awards Red Carpet as Country went glamorous, chic and stylish as well as Vegas. The stars of Country Music and the many-fold Celebs...

When asked to describe Victoria Beckham and her influence on the fashion world, the only word best to describe her would be ‘underdog’. In a strange way, Victoria Beckham in my opinion has always been the odd one out. When I think of her and her career so far, I can’t help but compare her to that of a young girl trying to fit in, but never feeling comfortable in her own skin or rather shall I say, never comfortable in the skin she’s wearing. Take the Spice Girls for instance, the group of the 90’s, each girl had their...

There is no doubt about it: we all like to think we dress for ourselves. Why do we like to think that? Because it says, ‘I exude confidence, I have high self esteem and I like to feel feminine.’ It shows independence and that you have your own mind, but just how many of us do actually dress for ourselves? I would say I dress for myself about 95 percent of the time. I like to power dress, wearing what I want gives me confidence. I seek comfort in what I wear and receive more comfort out of jeans and...
