The archbishop of Philadelphia said Monday that Roman Catholic school officials who fired a married gay teacher showed uncommon “character and common sense.” Archbishop Charles J. Chaput said the nuns and board members who run Waldron Mercy Academy are not seeking controversy, but simply following the church’s teaching. Chaput, in a statement, thanked school leaders “for taking the steps to ensure that the Catholic faith is presented … in accord with the teaching of the church. They’ve shown character and common sense at a moment when both seem to be uncommon.” …

Liberals are famous for conveniently rewriting their history. Just take a look at some of the photos below for a few of their most blatant examples, including the lie that they were always for gay marriage and against racism. The false history teaching that liberals opposed slavery, wanted women to vote, exclusively led the civil rights movements is all Orwellian talk, for the truth is the opposite. It’s been the party of Lincoln and Reagan on the side of justice in each of those issues. We led the fight against slavery and for women’s suffrage, and with Martin Luther...

A gay couple was granted a marriage license Monday shortly after filing a federal lawsuit against a county clerk in North Texas who cited religious opposition when denying them a license last week. Jim Cato and Joe Stapleton filed the lawsuit Monday morning against Hood County Clerk Katie Lang. The men said they were repeatedly turned away when trying to obtain a license last week in Granbury, the county seat, following the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legalized gay marriage nationwide. The men were quickly granted a license and "are delighted" that they can get married in their home county,...

Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz on Monday defended widely criticized comments he made about the legalization of gay marriage and other societal issues during an Independence Day speech. "If people are curious about what I said, go listen to it," Lentz said of the 11-minute speech, which can be found on YouTube and Facebook. play video video Lentz July 4 speech Near the midpoint of his remarks Saturday morning at the village's Fort Hill Heritage Center, Lentz said he wanted to "address the elephant in the room" and started talking about the Supreme Court's recent ruling on marriage equality. It wasn’t like we didn’t see this coming but it’s certainly arriving faster and harder than even some of the more conservative estimates would have predicted. Now that gay marriage (or just any old marriage if you prefer) is a “constitutionally assured right†in the United States, Left side proponents are taking their victory laps. But at the same time they’re going to stick to the established talking points of telling everyone not to worry… nothing bad is going to happen to anyone else. You’re just not adjusted to the New and Improved Post-Homophobic Christianity. (From the Daily Beast) The...

The editorial board of PennLive/The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa. is taking a hardcore stance against those who disagree with the Supreme Court ruling to legalize gay marriage. “As a result of Friday’s ruling, PennLive/The Patriot-News will no longer accept, nor will it print, op-Eds and letters to the editor in opposition to same-sex marriage,” they declared. After receiving strong pushback, the newspaper’s editorial board, which is overseen by Editorial Page Editor John Micek, quickly revised its policy. Freedom of speech will be allowed — but only for a “limited” period of time. Micek explained on Twitter: “Clarification: We will not...

A couple of days ago, I wrote about the difficulties Apple would face if it tried to censor the Confederate flag in its online stores. Unfortunately, the company - under Tim Cook's leadership - wasted no time in engaging in reactionary censorship of the Confederate flag in its app store. Touch Arcade and other sites are reporting that Apple has begun a ham-handed purge of the app store. The company has removed games and apps that include the Confederate flag: It's looking like Apple has pulled everything from the App Store that features a Confederate flag, regardless of context. The...

Under the banner of what is dishonestly called a gay pride or gay “rights” flag, hate, fascism, and intolerance has festered for years, specifically against Christians and conservatives. Under the auspices of a “rights and equality” symbol, Leftists have been on a rampage to take way the rights of others through bullying, lies, and online terrorism. The list of misdeeds and victims resulting from an increasingly emboldened Big Gay Hate Machine continues to grow. Under this banner of hate, people are outed against their will, terrorized out of business merely for being Christian, bullied and harassed for thoughtcrimes; moreover, “hate...

As if the case of Rachel Dolezal couldn’t get any sillier, anti-racism activist Tim Wise says that the “black” former NAACP chapter president once “tried to stop him from speaking” at Eastern Washington University because … “white folks can’t speak with any legitimacy to issues of racism.” Dolezal was a part-time professor at the college.

(Disclaimer: The author of this piece is a white, middle class, heterosexual, Christian male. Please disregard all opinions below because PRIVILEGE.) A friend texted me the other day about abortion. Previously, she was very pro-choice. However, after reading up on the horrors of abortion and how women are negatively affected, she realized that she was actually pro-life. She told me she felt convicted in her new belief, but she was afraid to speak out about it because “people are too mean.” She's right. People are mean. If she expressed her opinion publicly, there's no doubt she would be ruthlessly attacked...

It looks like Spike TV didn’t find Clint Eastwood’s joke about Caitlyn Jenner during the Guys’ Choice Awards taping on Saturday very funny. A rep for the male-centered network said the reference will be cut from the telecast. “We will remove the reference in the version that will air,” David Schwarz, Spike TV senior vice president of communications, said in a statement. During the taping, while presenting “San Andreas” star Dwayne Johnson with a special award, Eastwood compared Johnson to other athletes-turned-actors like “Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody.” Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, made her debut as a...

Jerry Seinfeld is on the micro aggressive trail lately. Like when he lashed out at liberal, PC culture, or when he may the ludicrous claim that your race or gender isn't as important in comedy as whether you're funny or not. But his comments here about gay French kings have really crossed the line. They deserved a voice too. Even better is his jab at Late Night host, Seth Meyers. VIDEO AT LINK Seinfeld even called out Seth Myers for saying he would never make fun of Caitlyn Jenner, which Meyers specified that he only meant on that day... "As...

Jerry Seinfeld has ruled out playing university audiences because they are too politically correct – and he counts the entire younger generation in that. --- “They just want to use these words," he said. "‘That’s racist. That’s sexist. That’s prejudice.’ They don’t know what the [bleep] they’re talking about.”

Writing online, author Elisa Gabbert answered one of her reader's questions about whether he should stop writing because of his "privilege" of being white and male. An anonymous reader asked Gabbert: "I am a white, male poet—a white, male poet who is aware of his privilege and sensitive to inequalities facing women, POC, and LGBTQ individuals in and out of the writing community—but despite this awareness and sensitivity, I am still white and still male. Sometimes I feel like the time to write from my experience has passed, that the need for poems from a white, male perspective just isn’t...

Via Breitbart, a reminder that Britain’s left remains a few steps ahead of America’s in legally sanctioning thoughtcrime. Here in the good ol’ free-market U.S.A., we still prefer economic sanctions for deviating from ruling-class orthodoxy. But give us time. As a much older nation, the UK’s had longer to make “progress.” There’s a parliamentary election set for 10 days for now so Miliband’s speaking here with an eye to that. I wonder which group he’s hoping to goose into turning out with these remarks — devout Muslims or Britain’s Social Justice Warriors? Frankly, apart from women’s issues and gay rights,...

The project was awarded this month to Rutgers University, which has received $117,102 so far. The real-time, automatic detection of hurtful online speech is necessary, according to the NSF grant, because cyberbullying is a “critical social problem.” The grant said 40 percent of American teenagers have reported being cyberbullied. ... In an open letter to his employer, Home Depot employee Timothy Noffsinger, expressed loud and clear how he feels about the company’s promotion of homosexual behavior.Besides going against his deeply held religious convictions, Noffsinger, a member of Denver Bible Church, expressed in his letter how its aggressive endorsement of homosexuality in the workplace is detrimental to productivity. "What would happen if Craig Menear, Chairman and CEO of The Home Depot (THD), were to appear at the next board meeting in lipstick and a wig wearing a skirt and pantyhose?” Noffsinger asked. “In the midst of such absurdity, could the Board...

The NUS Women's Campaign, which states that it "exists to represent and extend and defend the rights of women students," is asking people to be "mindful" about clapping, as the loud noise could be "triggering" for some people. Instead, the group is asking members to use "jazz hands," as they are silent. This is not a joke. This is the actual tweet that went out:

One of the most admirable things about Europe is that most (if not all) of the right-wing rhetoric that you hear in the US is explicitly against the law there. For example, attempting to link Islam with terrorism, saying that gay marriage isn’t really marriage, or saying that trans women aren’t really women would get you charged with discrimination and/or incitement to hatred. Numerous European public figures have been charged with hate crimes for implying that large-scale immigration is connected to higher crime. In fact, a politician in Sweden was prosecuted for hate crimes for posting statistics about immigrant crime...

Former Brazilian Presidential Candidate Levy Fidelix Condemned to Pay R$ 1 Million for Voicing “Homophobic” View By Julio Severo Former Brazilian presidential candidate Levy Fidelix was condemned by the São Paulo Supreme Court to pay a fine of R$ 1 million (over US$300,000) in a public civil action filed by the LGBT movement. The condemnation, delivered Friday (March 14), deals with declarations that Catholic Fidelix made in an interview in a TV show September 28, 2014, where he said: “The large intestine does not reproduce… How can I, a family man and a grandfather, be afraid of losing votes?...
