A group representing thousands of America's veterans says the NFL "censored" an ad the group wanted to run in the programs sold at next month's Super Bowl. The ad targeted football players for protesting during the national anthem. AMVETS National Commander Marion Polk tweeted Monday night that the group "will not tolerate" the NFL's censorship after the group says the football organization refused to print an ad urging players to "#PleaseStand" during the Feb. 4 championship

A 56-year-old male Trump supporter was nearly murdered by a 30-year-old male Antifa terrorist in New York City Saturday night as he walked away from a ticketed nightclub party called a Night for Freedom that was organized by Mike Cernovich to celebrate the first anniversary of the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The unidentified victim had gotten about a block away from the FREQNYC nightclub where the Night for Freedom party was being held. He was followed by a man identified by police as David Campbell of Crown Heights, New York as the person arrested for the attack. Campbell reportedly...

The locally oriented website CWBChicago provides a valuable instructional video for its readers in fashionable, upscale Chicago neighborhoods who (quite realistically) fear the ongoing predation by gangs running rampant elsewhere in the city, making it the murder capital of America. A compelling security camera video released by the Chicago Police Department depicts a gang driving into Wicker Park – an expensive area with great shopping attracting many pedestrians (and a Hollywood film named after it) – and carrying out an armed robbery on a pedestrian.

President Trump has lambasted the NFL more than 20 times for players’ “Total Disrespect of Our Great Country.” Ratings are down for NFL games and Trump figures it’s because some players aren’t standing, hand over heart, and mouthing the words to the national anthem. Trump may have made some political hay out of all this, but one only has to follow the money to learn the real reason pro football ratings are down — competition from college football. The fact is, “Their product isn’t very good these days,” Nick Bogdanovich told the Las Vegas Sun. He is the chief oddsmaker...

About 20 protesters gathered outside Sen. Susan Collins’ Bangor home midday Sunday to voice their opposition to the sweeping Republican tax reform bill and Collins’ vote in favor of it. Carrying signs reading “Shame,” “No Tax Cut for Fat Cats,” “Don’t Trickle on Me” and other slogans, the protesters formed a long line along the edge of the road, attracting occasional honks of support from drivers passing through the quiet neighborhood.

Wisconsin may become the first state in America to drug test able-bodied adults applying for food stamps, if Gov. Scott Walker gets his way. Walker moved ahead Monday with his plans, a move that has been blocked by the federal government or found unconstitutional when other states have tried. Wisconsin’s plan was approved by the Republican-controlled legislature more than two years ago, but it languished because it conflicted with federal rules prohibiting states from imposing additional eligibility criteria on food stamp recipients. Florida had a drug test requirement for food stamp recipients that a federal appeals court blocked in 2014,...

“It’s bad for football,” Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden said on ESPN during postgame coverage. “There’s going to be some fines, there’s going be some stringent discipline. Let’s just hope a lot of these men are able to get up tomorrow morning and move on with life. Some of this stuff got out of hand tonight. It’s very disgusting and disturbing.” Yahoo Sports’ Pat Forde was blunt in his assessment of the game while giving credit to the MNF team for their critical coverage of the violence. It was, however, a good night for ESPN. Sean McDonough minced no...

Highway 31, a Birmingham-based pro-Doug Jones super PAC is using what could be perceived as voter intimidation tactics against Roy Moore by suggesting the votes cast in a December 12 special election are “public record.” Beginning last week, some Alabamians were posting on social media about encountering online pre-roll video advertising making such a claim. "Your vote is Public Record. And your community will know if you helpd stop Roy Moore" Anyone else think this looks like voter intimidation? #VoterIntimidation pic.twitter.com/31dixv9aeu — Joemantler (@Joemantler) December 3, 2017 In watching some youtube videos on Cash Cab there is an ad running...

A St. Louis pizza driver shot and killed a 17-year-old youth who police said was one of two suspects trying to rob him during a delivery Thursday night. Police identified the dead man as Lavon Courtney Jr., the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. One suspect struck the driver on the head with a firearm, then ran back to his vehicle while shooting, police told St. Louis' Fox 2. The pizza driver returned fire with his own weapon, striking one suspect and prompting the other to flee, the report said. The delivery driver called police after arriving back at the pizza shop,...

NFL owners seem poised to donate nearly $100 million (including some contributions from players) over seven years to support the favorite social justice causes of the players. But in a perfect show of how incompetent they are, the owners will get nothing from the players in return. No promise to stop disrespecting the national anthem or any other meaningful concessions. Who taught these clowns to negotiate, Neville Chamberlain? Obviously, they are used to trying to buy their way out of problems. Can you even imagine the sum total spent bailing their pampered players out of legal beefs, domestic violence and...

Two flash mobs — one of them comprising more than 100 juveniles — caused pandemonium Saturday night near Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, assaulting at least three people and committing a robbery, police said. Two teenagers were arrested by SEPTA police. The melee began around 7 p.m. Saturday on the 1700 block of Walnut Street and spread to nearby streets, said Philadelphia police, who provided few details Sunday.

Saturday night’s UFC 217 event seems to have inspired some of the NFL’s wide receivers. Late in the second quarter of the Jacksonville-Cincinnati game on Sunday, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green and Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey were both ejected for fighting. After a play was blown dead just seconds before the end of the first half, Ramsey shoved Green to the ground. Green got up, put Ramsey in a chokehold, threw him down, and began punching Ramsey’s helmet. As Ramsey rose up to his knees, Green put him in a second chokehold and slammed him back to the ground...

It’s the heart of Baltimore’s tourism industry, but the Inner Harbor turned into a nightmare for a visiting family of 10 earlier this month. Out of nowhere, they were swarmed and beaten by a large number of teenagers. While the family that was attacked does not want to be identified, they do want their story to be heard. They told their story to WJZ off-camera. “They swarmed us,” said Stacey. “They hit my husband in the head. They knocked him out… and then it was just complete bedlam.” It happened on the day of the Baltimore Marathon, Oct. 21. The...

There were warnings Friday about a possible upsurge in knockout attacks in which people are sucker punched for no good reason. Video of one such incident shows a woman being suddenly kicked and then punched by a man. She was knocked out cold on the ground, but rather than help her several people took out phones to take pictures. Nobody called the police. It happened in Pittsburgh more than a month ago, and something similar happened in Brooklyn on Thursday night. “As he went to tie up his dogs to confront these kids, the group distracted him from the front...

If you get caught allegedly shoplifting in a store, it's probably not a good idea to go back there. Two Pennsylvania women were caught on video trashing a 7-Eleven after employees locked them inside and called police after they allegedly were in the store a day earlier shoplifting. The two women also got into a fight with 7-Eleven employees and responding police officers, according to Philly.com. The two women - 20-year-old Lashae Whitaker and 28-year-old Tiera Brown - entered the 7-Eleven on Oct. 1 when they were locked inside as employees called the police. In the video, Whitaker is shown...

Things got a little heated Monday when a group of young immigrants confronted House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi at a pro-DACA press conference in San Francisco. Several dozen young immigrants shouted down the top House Democrat, following her recent conversations with President Donald Trump over the future of a program that grants many of them legal status. "We are immigrant youth, undocumented and unafraid," they chanted, taking over a scheduled press conference Pelosi, along with Reps. Barbara Lee and Jared Huffman, organized to call for the immediate passage of the Dream Act, a federal proposal that offered many of the...
