Obama campaign selling 'birther' T-shirts By Jordan Fabian - 05/18/11 11:53 AM ET President Obama isn't done trying to capitalize on claims that he was not born in the United States. Last month, Obama released his long-form birth certificate to prove he was born in Hawaii and lampooned billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who cast doubt on the authenticity of the president's birth certificate, at the White House Correspondents Dinner. His campaign is now selling T-shirts emblazoned with his face above the slogan "Made in U.S.A." On the back is an image of his birth certificate.

A federal appeals court has upheld a previous ruling that permitted a student at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville to wear a T-shirt critical of homosexuality. After the school allowed students in 2006 to participate in an annual Day of Silence to promote tolerance of homosexuals, a student wore a T-shirt that stated, "Be Happy, Not Gay." School officials objected and first changed the words on the shirt to say, "Be Happy, Be Straight." Then they changed it to just, "Be Happy."

More people need to be willing to stand up for what is right, regardless of the personal feelings of others. Our goal should not be to offend people but their offense should not come before the safety and stability of the country. This is America and the rights of American’s should ALWAYS come first.

Another strange occurance in the age of Obama that an overwhelmingly large portion of the the activist media is not reporting on, is the recent story of these American flag T-Shirts. The principal of Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California instructed kids who decided to wear their American flag T-shirts on Cinco De Mayo, were instructed to either turn their shirts inside out, take off their American flag bandanas, or be sent home. The ultimatum was delivered when students who were celebrating Cinco De Mayo found that the American flags were "offensive" to their celebration.

Four Live Oak High School teens sent home for wearing American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo have become the focus of national media attention and spurred a march by Hispanic students through downtown Morgan Hill. Live Oak students Daniel Galli, Dominic Maciel, Matt Dariano and Austin Carvalho wore red, white and blue T-shirts - some with the American flag and some with flag shorts - to school Wednesday, prompting administrators to ask the students to change their clothing or turn their T-shirts inside-out because it could incite a confrontation on Cinco de Mayo. The four students' parents were called...

A Round Lake Park woman was held in contempt and jailed because a judge found a message on her T-shirt offensive. Associate Judge Helen Rozenberg held Jennifer LaPenta, who was attending a hearing in a friend's case, in contempt of court for wearing a T-shirt that read: "I have the p----, so I make the rules." The judge asked LaPenta, 19, if she thought her shirt was appropriate. LaPenta said she told the judge that it would have been inappropriate if she had been the defendant. "They should be out looking for people who are breaking the law, not arresting...

Five students at a California high school were forced to leave school and then face disciplinary action yesterday for the crime of wearing clothing printed with American flag designs. If you’re wondering how being patriotic could possibly merit punishment, it’s because the kids displayed the American flags on May 5. And as everyone knows, American flags are absolutely verboten on May 5. Right? Doesn’t anybody remember that rule? Anybody? Bueller? ....

On Cinco de Mayo, five northern Californial high school students came to school in red, white and blue, and got a very public lesson in school politics and free speech. The boys came to Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill on the Mexican holiday, wearing t-shirts, shorts and shoes emblazoned with American flags. Around 10 a.m., the assistant principal told sophomore Matthew Dariano he had to remove his bandana, which is against school policy. But then Dariano said the assistant principal told all him and all his friends to take off their shirts, or turn them inside out, because...

Officials at the school could not be reached for comment, but one student said administrators called the T-shirts "incendiary." The five teens were sitting at a table outside during their brunch break around 10:10 a.m. when Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez asked two...
