Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) launched a bizarre Twitter rant late Monday afternoon following the disastrous rollout of DNA results that further debunked her decades-long claim to American Indian ancestry. Warren’s thread of 20-plus (and counting) tweets began at about 5:30 p.m. ET, where she attempted to both insult President Trump and defend herself.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren suggested President Donald Trump’s comment about him personally administering a DNA test to her to prove her Native American heritage is “creepy.” She tweeted Monday that the president makes “creepy physical threats” about women who scare him, including her. “He’s trying to do what he always does to women who scare him: call us names, attack us personally, shrink us down to feel better about himself,” the Massachusetts Democrat responded on Twitter after Trump made the comment during an appearance in Georgia. “It may soothe his ego – but it won’t work.”(continued)

US embassy in Australia apologizes for sending out email with photo of cat dressed like Cookie Monster The U.S. embassy in Australia apologized on Monday after it accidentally sent out a photo of a pajama-clad cat dressed like the Cookie Monster. The embassy in Canberra sent out an email invitation titled “meeting” to an unknown number of recipients, the BBC reported. Attached to the email was a photo of a cat wearing blue pajamas to look like “Sesame Street” character Cookie Monster. The text next to the photo read “cat pyjama-jam.” U.S. mission to Australia spokesman Gavin Sundwall told the...

President Trump took to Twitter Sunday to congratulate Princess Eugenie on her marriage to Jack Brooksbank. “Princess Eugenie of York was a truly beautiful bride yesterday. She has been through so much, and has come out a total winner!” Trump tweeted about the royal newlywed, although her wedding occurred on Friday, not Saturday. Trump was most likely referring to Eugenie’s battle with scoliosis when she was a child. The daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson underwent surgery when she was 12 years old to treat the condition. The operation left a scar down her back, which...

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders likely violated ethics regulations when she posted a photo on her official White House Twitter account of Kanye West wearing a MAGA hat, a watchdog group charged. West’s hat touts President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” Sanders posed with the rapper for the photo after his wild appearance in the Oval Office Thursday with Trump. The group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed a complaint Friday with the Office of Special Counsel, accusing Sanders of violating the Hatch Act. The act forbids federal employees from using their influence,...

NBC News has totally and purposely changed the point and meaning of my story about General Robert E Lee and General Ulysses Grant. Was actually a shoutout to warrior Grant and the great state in which he was born. As usual, dishonest reporting. Even mainstream media embarrassed!

Kaitlin Bennett @KaitMarieox 6h6 hours ago Last night at the Trump rally in PA, a liberal protester touched me against my consent and said he'd throw me on the ground and rape me. Feminists around him, who say we're supposed to believe women, defended him and denied it happened. This is what the left has come to. #MeToo

Snip: I asked myself a question, after reading these posts: “Is there an alternative to confirming or not confirming Kavanaugh?” When a choice appears starkly binary, a third path appears impossible, by definition — but might possibly still be worth seeking. I tried to place myself in Kavanaugh’s position, while generating a potential answer (and think that I can do so with some justification, having been publicly identified as reprehensible by many people—prominent journalists, activists, and academics among them). Snip: Having said all that, I would like also like to point out that I am not claiming that the opinion...

A Rosemount school district employee has resigned over a social media post in which she appeared to suggest that someone should kill new U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The district said Tuesday that the instructor at the Alliance Education Center, whom it did not name, had voluntarily resigned from her position with the district. In a statement posted on the district’s website, Intermediate School District 917 superintendent Mark Zuzek wrote that the staff member did not make the post on Twitter while at school, adding that “there were no school devices, equipment or other school staff involved in the...

Does big tech have a political bias problem? Companies like Facebook and Google have sworn up and down that they’re apolitical … but a growing amount of evidence is raising hard questions about the corporate culture within these brands. On Saturday, one of Google’s top people single-handedly brought those questions to the surface again. After Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed as the next Supreme Court justice, the tech company’s design lead went on a hateful rant on Twitter. “You are finished, @GOP,” posted Dave Hogue, whose bio states that he holds a design lead position at Google. “You polished the final...

Former NASA astronaut and Navy veteran Scott Kelly apologized Sunday after facing backlash for a tweet praising Winston Churchill. “One of the greatest leaders of modern times, Sir Winston Churchill said, ‘in victory, magnanimity.’ I guess those days are over,” Mr. Kelly, a veteran of four space flights, tweeted to his 5.76 million followers Sunday afternoon. Seven hours later, Mr. Kelly apologized for the quote, saying he would work on educating himself on Churchill’s purported misdeeds. "Did not mean to offend by quoting Churchill. My apologies. I will go and educate myself further on his atrocities, racist views which I...

A reporter from TVN told AFP, “We are in shock. In no way, under any form, never have we received any threats – aimed at her or the television.” But that assertion was contradicted by Asen Yordanov, the owner of the investigative website, bivol.bg, who told AFP that he had received information that his reporters were in danger of being assaulted. He said Marinova was linked to bivol.bg’s investigations because its reporters had appeared on her show. “Viktoria’s death, the brutal manner in which she was killed, is an execution,” Yordanov said. “It was meant to serve as an example,...

“Dad, it’s not true,” I said, fighting to keep my voice steady through tears. My 81-year-old father had just seen a Huffington Post headline — “Take Salena Zito Neither Seriously Nor Literally On Trump Voters” — with a picture of me next to it. The piece accused me of fabricating stories and omitting facts. None of that is true, but that didn’t stop the attack from ricocheting to every corner of political journalism’s Twitter-sphere.
