The first is that it aims to protect four popular and modest commonsense restrictions: a ban on assault weapons, mandated background checks on gun buyers, a waiting period before buyers can take possession, and a minimum purchasing age of 21. Gov. Tom Wolf, who withheld $12.8 million in federal money from Lebanon County because it violated his closure orders, said the county will receive the money — and use $2.8 million to promote the benefits of face maks.
