  • Picking-Up Where ACORN Left Off: SEIU Targets Banks With Intimidation Tactics in Latest Class

    Breitbart ^ | 6/6/11 | SEIU
Why is the SEIU focusing all its energies on intimidating banks? Do you think maybe they have a larger agenda than just representing their members at their place of employment? Given that the SEIU is so closely aligned with the Obama Administration, what do these tactics say about the President's own views?
  • VIDEO: SEIU Mob Arrested After Charging Troopers in Washington

There’s seriously nothing more you can say about unions given everything that happened in Wisconsin and Ohio- that speaks for itself, and volumes at that. Now, in Washington, a mob of SEIU protesters were arrested for bringing their thuggish demeanor to the House of Representatives. Notice how they always play the outdated ‘victim’ card time and time again. Committing actions such as these then crying foul is not going to win over sympathy from anyone.

Members of Wisconsin State Employees Union, AFSCME Council 24, have begun circulating letters to businesses in southeast Wisconsin, asking them to support workers’ rights by putting up a sign in their windows. If businesses fail to comply, the letter says, “Failure to do so will leave us no choice but (to) do a public boycott of your business. And sorry, neutral means 'no' to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members."

Big Labor: Having lost its war on economics, the SEIU has declared war on the economy. Literally. One of its top minds was caught vowing to crash the stock market to redistribute wealth. Is this a union or a subversive group? Six years ago, after breaking from the AFL-CIO, the Service Employees International Union was hailed as a new kind of organization, whose dynamic leader Andy Stern would make labor strong again. His union vowed to increase its "political muscle to pressure entrenched politicians who didn't vote in the interests of their members," wrote Matt Bai in his 2007 book,...

Labor: Unions' favorite target asks why there are no organized mobs hanging from the rafters of Congress or picketing the White House. Wisconsin will have better benefits, that's why — and a balanced budget. It's a fair question to ask: Why was limiting the collective bargaining rights — some would say collectivist bargaining rights — of public-sector unions so terrible, when Wisconsin workers are still much better off than their federal government counterparts? In a Washington Post op-ed, Gov. Scott Walker noted that most federal workers do not have collective bargaining rights for wages and benefits. He reminded us that...
  • Union Thug History: Top Six Violent Acts Committed by Unions

03/19/2011 8:08:14 AM PDT · by Michael van der Galien · 7 replies
Exploiting the battle between the governor and public employees in Wisconsin, frequent White House visitor, AFL-CIO Chief Richard Trumka has been trying to resuscitate a critically ill labor movement by setting up the entire conservative movement as the “enemy.” Trumka argues that the $14+ trillion dollar deficit is no big deal and that the GOP is trying to take money away from the middle class, only give it to those rich Wall Street CEOs. As Trumka’s participation in the public workers’ union protests grew, so did the number of incidents of union violence and thuggery associated with the them. This...

Union leaders can dress it up and use innocuous-sounding phrases like “voluntary consumer activism,” but the bottom line is that Wisconsin’s unions are now resorting to thug-like behavior against political opponents, real or imagined. The state’s largest teachers union, Wisconsin Education Association Council, along with the Green Bay Education Association, Madison Teachers Inc. and a handful of other public employee unions are carrying their fight over collective bargaining to innocent business owners. News accounts reveal that the Fox Valley chapter of WEAC has e-mailed local businesses, asking them to show their support for collective bargaining privileges by putting a poster...

Below, you’ll find a compilation of 20 days worth of the death threats, vandalism, and intimidation practiced by pro-union thugs opposed to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. Wisconsin is my home state. I lived there until I was 27 years-old in 1993 and most of my family, including my parents still live there. For that reason and because the issue of education and teachers unions has been a passion of mine for going on two decades, I’ve been following this story very, very closely. My original intent was to compile all of this earlier in the week, but...
  • VIDEO: Union Thugs Destroy Recall Petitions

Armed with a bullhorn, thuggery, and the most annoying chants ever, union thugs continued their streak of ‘solidarity’. The following took place at a recall Jim Holperin Rally in Merill, WI. As you can see, “F*ck you” is written on the ripped up petitions. The video was shot after the incident took place. According to an eyewitness account: This video was shot minutes after a union advocate destroyed several petitions at a recall Jim Holperin Rally in Merill, WI. The event was moved to the court house grounds because the private location originally slated to host the event was threatened...

Andy Stern, the former head of the Service Employees International Union who now sits on President Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said the United States needs an economic plan that does not include “worshipping” the free market. “America needs a 21st century economic plan because we now know the market-worshipping, privatizing, de-regulating, dehumanizing American financial plan has failed and should never be revived, worshipping the market again,” Stern said in remarks at the annual conference of the liberal activist group Campaign for America’s Future in Washington on Monday. “It has failed America and everyone that works here,”...

This was planned for some time by the SEIU as part of a larger national event, their Showdown on K Street, which was shared with National People’s Action and thousands of other activists from MoveOn.org and other left-wing groups. Prior to the main event on K Street in Washington DC, SEIU and company made a little pit stop. According to Fortune magazine Washington editor Nina Easton, 14 busloads of riled up protesters unloaded on Baer’s private property and stormed up to his doorstep, while his teenage son was home alone. Easton is a neighbor of Baer’s and had called to...

The 2010 election was already shaping up to be a bloody battle for Democratic incumbents but some now have to worry about friendly fire as well: Big Labor is trying to purge Democrats they don't like. Some unions are backing primary challenges in Colorado and Arkansas. In North Carolina, a union actually is trying to create its own third party. In all cases, unions brush off charges that this would just split the vote. They're fed up with these moderate Democrats.

Almost two weeks ago, Lee Doren and I reported on the new website TheTeaPartyisOver.org and its funding by unions, through a front group calling itself the American Public Policy Committee. Fox News picks up where we left off in a report today that exposes even more shady union funding of the astroturf effort against the Tea Party grassroots movement: A new Web site targeting the tea parties is a part of a complex network of money flowing from the mountainous coffers of the country’s biggest labor unions and trickling slowly into political slush funds for Democratic activists.A seemingly grassroots organization...

They’ve dumped nearly a $1 million of rank-and-file dues into Martha Antoinette Coakley’s coffers. They “pulled out all the stops” before the primary and they’ll be throwing all their ground troops into the Bay State over the weekend. We know how the SEIU thugs operate. I told you in Culture of Corruption about Andy Stern’s organizational motto: “[W]e prefer to use the power of persuasion, but if that doesn’t work we use the persuasion of power.” They’ll go after Boy Scouts. And baby-sitters. And home health-care providers. They raided their treasury to pour $60-$80 million into Obama and the Democrats’...
