Wyoming County, N.Y. -- A Dansville woman is in police custody after authorities say she tried to get money from someone by threatening to post personal photos of that person online. Perry Police have charged Lisa Galloway, 37, of Dansville with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree coercion. Galloway allegedly threatened to post personal photos of a victim online unless the victim gave her money, according to police. She was arraigned in Warsaw Village Court and remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Perry Village Court on March 12.

A 42-year-old woman accusing of having sex with a 14-year-old boy in Bath and then bragging about it at work gave up her right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday and her case will head to Northampton County Court. The boasting by Theresa E. Kasznicki not only led to her getting fired from her job at an insurance company, but to a police investigation that landed her in Northampton County Prison, according to court records. Her attorney Tuesday waived the hearing before District Judge John Capobianco under the condition that a plea agreement is in place in court.

A Silverton teacher is facing charges for the alleged four-year sex abuse of a boy that began in 2002 when he was 13 years old. Susan Christina Alderson, 46, a sixth-grade teacher at Robert Frost Elementary School in Silverton, was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was served on her home in the 2100 block of Robins Lane Southeast in Salem. Police believe Alderson maintained an ongoing sexual "relationship" with the now 19-year-old victim, who was not one of her students, said Lt. Steve Birr, criminal investigations section commander.

Melissa Lavender, 33, a culinary arts teacher at South Lake High School in St Clair Shores, Michigan has been arrested and charged on allegations that she engaged in acts of gross misconduct of a sexual nature with the two male South Lake High School students.
