Hit the road jack wagon, you hate-America agitator, and don't come back. AMF! You were nothing but a usurper and domestic enemy that divided our country. Barry's domestic legacies will be "The Porkulus," which lived for 8 years in CR's, which deepened the economic pain. The disappearing Middle Class. Eight years of massive debt and his catastrophic social engineering of our military. The U.S. military is in deep trouble. Our new Secretary of Defense (retired Marine Corps General James Mattis) will no doubt be dealing with topics such as Navy ships that breakdown, Air Force planes without spare parts...

CA MAU, Vietnam — It could have been 1969 again as Secretary of State John F. Kerry stood on the bow of the small boat chugging up the Bay Hap River on Saturday, the wind billowing his sleeves and his eyes darting left and right toward banks shrouded in dark foliage. As a young Navy lieutenant, Kerry commanded a Swift boat along this stretch of churning brown waters in the middle of a free-fire zone. Here, he earned a Silver Star for his heroics when he leapt ashore after an ambush to pursue a fleeing Viet Cong with a grenade...

My dad is 86 and starting to fail physically and somewhat mentally. For the first time he is talking in his sleep about his experiences in a MASH unit during the Korean War. He never volunteered much about what he went through there. Mainly when he talks he is just griping about being a soldier which I find kind of humorous. But he has started to talk about having to be on point all the time on missions to retrieve bodies at night. He says that they can't use any light because it would draw enemy fire. I don't know...

Oliver North asked for a vote for Ryan as a Rare Eagle. Here's the details: Ryan Behm is an extraordinary young man who served our nation in combat and continues to serve by helping injured Servicemembers heal the silent wounds of war through his work. He served in the Army as a combat medic and was exposed to the horrors of war, yet he has found peace and comfort through his strong faith and in helping others who have gone through the same thing. Ryan has been working at a non-profit organization that supports the military and through events like...
  • First Look: Colt M16A1 Reissue

The classic M16A1 was the iconic rifle of the Vietnam War. It was issued to the vast majority of U.S. soldiers during the conflict, and it’s general success in combat led to its continued service in the U.S. armed forces in varied forms over the years. And of course it wasn’t too long before the M16’s popularity translated to the civilian market as well.Luckily, earlier this summer at the 2016 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Louisville, Kentucky, Colt teased the release of a reproduction, semi-auto-only M16A1 that faithfully replicates the look and features of the original, Vietnam-era rifle....

A young Marine killed in the bloody World War II Battle of Tarawa has finally been brought home and has been laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. Pfc. Wilbur C. Mattern was 23 years old when he was killed on November 21, 1943, the second day of the three-day battle to take the atoll back from the Japanese. He was found earlier this year by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), whose function is to search for missing American servicemembers around the world, identify them and return them home for proper burial with honors. Mattern was buried on the...

Benjamin Bergen is the author of the book: “What the F: What Swearing Reveals About Our Language, Our Brains, and Ourselves.” “It turns out that there are amazing things you can find out about how the mind works, how the brain works, people’s human sociality just by looking at profanity,” he explained. The professor of Cognitive Science at UC San Diego said cursing could be linked to higher intelligence. “It turns out that on average, the ones who swear the most also have the biggest vocabulary overall,” Bergen added.

VETERAN ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION Please understand what this network is all about, then figure out how to be an asset. In order to get this off the ground without venture capitalists buying equity and taking control, we need to create a highly efficient team and crowdfund the money ourselves. A highly efficient team doesn’t need a leader barking orders and handing out tasks to followers who are waiting to be told what to do. It needs a group of highly motivated and proficient individuals who understand the mission and intent, and work together to accomplish the mission. If you don’t know...

Here is the official response I got from USAA on their NFL sponsorship: Thank you for your response. USAA is proud to serve as the Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL, and our sponsorship is a reflection of our mission and commitment to serving the military community. We have no plans to end our role as the Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL. The NFL provides a great platform through which we can raise awareness about and appreciation for America's military and their families. We are proud to work with great players like Army veteran and Pittsburg Steeler...

Perhaps it was the way he carried himself in an unassuming and humble manner, but day after day hundreds of Air Force Academy cadets would pass this janitor in the hall oblivious to the greatness that was among them. In the mid-1970s, William Crawford might spend one day sweeping the halls and another cleaning the bathrooms, but it was a day approximately 30 years prior that would create for him a special place in the history of war. In 1943 in Italy, the only thing Private William Crawford was cleaning out was German machine gun nest and bunkers.Under heavy...

The House voted 310-116 Wednesday to arm the Department of Veterans Affairs, exclusively among federal departments, with tougher employee “accountability” tools to punish misconduct and better protect whistleblowers. It’s the latest political fallout from the patient wait time scandal of 2014 and multiple smaller investigations into misbehaving VA supervisors and staff that have become the primary focus of the House Veterans Affairs Committee under chairman Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) who is to retire January. The VA Accountability First and Appeals Modernization Act of 2016 (HR 5620), introduced by Miller in July, would provide new authorities for VA to withhold financial...

American service members are petitioning for the return of beards to the US military, with their petition now containing well over 10,000 signatures. According to the petition page “Beards for Military“ on change.org, the writers of the petition call for the return of the long-gone tradition of tasteful facial hair on service members, citing a boost in morale. “All I want is to be able to grow a beard,” the petition reads, as penned by Ed Beebe. “I want to grow long locks of love on my face that will make me feel like a manly man.
