Three New Orleans women in their early 20s, including two sisters, face charges of attempted murder in a "vicious" beating that involved hitting, kicking, pepper-spraying and robbing a 21-year-old woman on a street in eastern St. Bernard Parish, authorities said Wednesday night (Sept. 7). I was explaining to a new Catholic recently that the color purple (violet) used in advent is akin to its use in Lent, in that both are considered penitential seasons. Hence we are to give special attention to our sins and our need for salvation. Unique violet shards discovered in East Azarbaijan Tehran Times Culture Desk TEHRAN -- A team of archaeologists has recently discovered over 100 violet-colored shards at the ancient site of Kala Tepe in the reservoir area of the Ai-Doqmush Dam, near the city of Mianeh in Iran’s East Azarbaijan Province, Javad Qandgar, the director of the team said on Sunday.
