PHOENIX (AP) — Former NFL lineman and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was arrested Monday on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute and allegedly assaulting two women, Phoenix police said. Hours later, the NFL Network announced that it had terminated its contract with Sapp, who had been working as a broadcaster and was in Arizona for Sunday's Super Bowl in suburban Glendale. Sapp, 42, was taken into custody at a downtown Phoenix hotel and booked into jail, police said. It wasn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.

Warren Sapp should have gone to sleep. The 42-year-old Hall of Fame defensive tackle, who was covering the Super Bowl for NFL Network, was arrested early Monday at a hotel in Phoenix for soliciting a prostitute — around 7 a.m., according to TMZ. In addition to solicitation, Sapp also was arrested for assault. NFL Network suspended Sapp indefinitely, without pay, pending the outcome of the investigation, a network spokesperson said.

<p>Lets start with the "boys don't tip" part, since Sapp wrote it in giant letters across the check.</p> <p>The waitress' explanation?</p> <p>"We were busy. I walked over to his table. It was him and one other guy and I said, 'Hey boys, what I can I get you to drink?' And he was like 'We're not boys. I'm a man,'" the waitress said. "I mean, saying 'Hey men, what do you want to drink?' sounds kind of weird, I think. I go with 'boys' a lot. It sounds more youthful."</p>

Former Bucs defensive lineman Warren Sapp has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Florida on claims he has racked up millions in debt, TMZ.com reported Friday. One of the most surprising claims in Sapp's filing is that lost his 2002 Super Bowl ring from the championship with the Bucs and his 1991 national championship ring from the University of Miami, TMZ reported. The future Hall of Famer owes more than $6.7 million to various creditors, including hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support payments to at least four women, the celebrity news website reported. He owes $853,000 to the...

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Seven-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Warren Sapp agreed to terms on a seven-year, $36.6 million contract with the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, ending his nine-year relationship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ``The bad news is I won't be back with the Bucs,'' Sapp said by telephone from Miami. ``The good news is I'm a Raider.'' The surprise move came only a day after Sapp's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said the one-time NFL defensive player of the year was close to signing a four-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. Sapp's contract is expected to be signed within the...

TAMPA, Fla. -- The longstanding feud between former divisional rivals Tampa Bay and Green Bay ratcheted up from ugly to grotesque Sunday when Packers head coach Mike Sherman and Bucs defensive tackle Warren Sapp engaged in a heated and occasionally obscenity-laced argument a few seconds after the game ended. The object of Sherman's ire, which led him to confront Sapp on the Tampa Bay sideline after congratulating other Tampa Bay players: His displeasure with Sapp's hit on Chad Clifton during an interception return by cornerback Brian Kelly in the third quarter, and with the celebration by Sapp while the Green...
