  • Rand Turns Abortion Around on Blab

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Rand Paul has actually done something that I don't think -- it may have happened -- I don't think an elected Republican has done. I don't think an elected Republican's actually turned the tables on the issue of abortion against a Democrat. Now, I know that all kinds of so-called conservative activists -- like Phyllis Schlafly is superb on this when she gets in debates with these leftists -- don't misunderstand. But I'm talking about elected officials who normally run from this issue. You remember what this is about. Rand Paul's up there after he's announced, and...

The Democratic Party supports legal abortion until the baby is born, according to Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. When asked if abortion should be legal until the moment of birth, she answered that the decision should be left to the mom and her doctor, adding, "Period. End of story." Wasserman Schultz's answer came three times. First in response to a question by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and two more times during Tuesday CNN and Fox News interviews. On April 8, the same day Paul announced he's running for president, he responded to a reporter's question about abortion exceptions...

Thank you, Rand Paul, for sticking it to The Woman.  The AP threw him “the question” on abortion Wednesday during his NH campaign swing, and Rand threw it right back. Later in the day, when asked after a campaign stop in Milford about the interview, which the Democratic National Committee had sent reporters, Paul said, "Why don't we ask the DNC: Is it OK to kill a 7-pound baby in the uterus?" "You go back and go ask (DNC head) Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she's OK with killing a 7-pound baby that's just not born yet," Paul said. "Ask her when life...

Rand Paul says he doesn't want to be grilled about abortion until Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz answers similarly tough questions. And Wasserman Schultz is hitting back -- highlighting Paul's testy interviews with female television anchors, too, by saying she hopes he can "respond without 'shushing' me." Paul, the Kentucky Republican senator who launched his 2016 presidential campaign this week, bristled at a question about abortion while talking with reporters in New Hampshire on Wednesday. "Why don't you ask the DNC, 'Is it OK to kill a seven-pound baby in the uterus?'" Paul said. His comment came after...

There will be no Debbie Wasserman-Schultz for Senate campaign, the Democratic National Committee chairwoman said Tuesday. She will instead seek reelection to her South Florida congressional seat in 2016. “I will be running for reelection in the United States House of Representatives and serving my full, four-year term that President Obama has asked me to serve as chair of the DNC,” she told CNN. Congresswoman and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will seek a seventh term in the House instead of running for Senate, a spokesman said Tuesday. The announcement ends speculation that she would run for the seat now held by Sen. Marco Rubio if he gives it up to run for president. Wasserman-Schultz believes she can be more effective in her current seat and wants to use her position as DNC chair to elect a Democratic president next year, spokesman Sean Bartlett said. She is in a safe Democratic district that includes parts of Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

By now, you’ve probably heard about cannabis-gate. DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz allegedly put a deal forward where she would switch positions on medicinal marijuana if a Democratic donor withdrew criticism of her for not backing a related statewide initiative last year; it was defeated by a narrow margin. John Morgan, the donor who slammed Schultz for not backing the measure, contributed heavily to the pro-medical marijuana campaign. Of course, Schultz has denied the consideration of any deal regarding this debacle. Yet, there’s more; Democrats don’t want Debbie to run either. Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair, is strongly considering a bid for U.S. Senate, calculating that having Hillary Clinton at the top of the 2016 ticket would help lift her candidacy in a year-of-the-woman campaign. Driving Wasserman Schultz’s interest: the increasing likelihood that Sen. Marco Rubio will run for the White House and that he ultimately won’t seek reelection in 2016, Democratic insiders familiar with her thinking say.

Some of the seven lawmakers—all of whom are Jewish and strong supporters of Israel—urged the prime minister to postpone the speech or hold it somewhere other than Congress, participants said. They told Ambassador Ron Dermer that Netanyahu was unwise to accept a GOP invitation that bypassed President Barack Obama, and to schedule the speech only two weeks before Netanyahu seeks another term in Israel’s elections. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL and DNC Chairwoman) made a stunning comment on Obama's pet network, MSNBC, accidentally revealing the truth about her boss: (House Republicans) will be voting for the first time in American history to sue the President of the United States for doing his job.And doing his job actually less often, and a rate that is lower than any President since Grover Cleveland. Um...sure. Who are we to disagree? WATCH:

Oh, how sweet it is, karma, that is. Will the Florida Democrats lose congressional seats they fought bitterly to win? Will another round in another Florida courtroom be yet another Democrat demise in a fight they may wish they never started? Will their darling, National Democratic Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Weston) (W-S) and their Pelosi pup, Patrick Murphy, the youngest guy in Congress, be tossed under wheels of a bus that may go bust? There is a courtroom battle brewing that could be the mother-in-law of all Florida political battles as Circuit Court Judge Terry Lewis prepares to hear the Democrat...

A disgusting instance of thuggish brutality was caught on a gas station security camera that contradicts the reports of two Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputies. According to Local 10 News, David Gonzalez, 50, admits he was drinking but said he was just using words to defend himself against an allegation that he had stolen some beer at a Texaco station in Deerfield Beach when he was struck twice by a deputy and slammed violently face-first to the pavement.

Establishment favorite Thom Tillis’s win in the North Carolina Republican Senate primary Tuesday night actually indicates the Tea Party has won the war with the establishment, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) argued on Wednesday. “The Tea Party has won the civil war that has been raging inside the Republican Party,” she told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Wednesday. Wasserman Schultz said that Tillis "is no longer, if he ever was, an establishment candidate,” having been pulled to the right during his time as speaker of the North Carolina House. “As the Speaker of the...

Last week, Democrat Governor of Illinois Pat Quinn, via Twitter, promoted and, presumably therefore associated himself with, an article from the Chicago Sun Times that compared being a black Republican to being a Nazi collaborator. Eventually, as Greta outlines in the clip below, the tweets were deleted on the grounds that it was offensive to Jews. [3:06 video clip] From the offending column: As a general rule, individuals will sell out the interests of their groups in return for personal benefit. It isn’t just a black thing. Jews collaborated with the Nazis during World War II, helping them to round...

Well, if this isn't a burgeoning political headache for the party of “tolerance” and “inclusiveness,” I don't know what is. An Arkansas Democratic gubernatorial candidate has filed two complaints against state organizations affiliated with the Democratic Party. She claims Arkansas Democrats snubbed her at a dinner by refusing to let her speak, and on a separate occasion, referred to her primary opponent as “the next governor of Arkansas”…as she sat and listened. From ABC’s affiliate KATV: Arkansas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dr. Lynette Bryant has filed a complaint against the Democratic Party of Arkansas and the Saline County Democratic Party...

Arkansas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dr. Lynette Bryant’s complaint against the Arkansas Democratic Party was rebuffed as “misguided” by Democratic National Committee Chairperson Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla). Dr. Bryant took exception to her primary opponent, Mike Ross, being described by Democratic Party officials as “the next governor of Arkansas.” She also protested being barred from speaking at Saline County’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner. “I can understand how Dr. Bryant—an African-American woman—might feel frustrated and belittled by the way she’s been treated,” Wasserman Schultz offered. “However, we need to focus on the big picture. The message of the Democratic Party is that...

  • Why not Gov. Mike Pence in 2016?

If you’re wondering why this otherwise prosaic Bloomberg piece about Pence’s national future begins with a mention of the Koch brothers, it’s probably because the guy who wrote it worked for Paul Sarbanes and, briefly, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz before resuming his career as an impartial reporter. But never mind that. Is Pence the dark horse? “I have no doubt that he would make a great president,” said Steven Chancellor, the chief executive officer of Evansville, Indiana-based American Patriot Group, the parent of a company that makes ready-to-eat rations for the Pentagon. “He certainly distinguished himself in the House” and is “off...

This whole Bossy the Cow thing is very confusing, so make sure you’ve had your coffee. We’re apparently championing a new hashtag campaign:I thought it was one of those made-up urban legends until I read Doug Powers article, “Go figure: ‘Bossy’ not a horrible word 3 months ago but now FLOTUS wants it banned.” The #BanBossy campaign is a joint effort of the DNC’s fight against the GOP’s War on Women, the Girl Scouts, and Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and author of “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead,” the little book of feminist wisdom and other tropes. Sheryl’s using...
  • Eat Your Own Words, Debbie Wasserman Schultz

At the end of 2013, Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz had some nasty words for yours truly. Irked that I used my Twitter feed to criticize her Obamacare propaganda efforts, Wasserman Schultz snarked back at me: "Thanks for spreading the word! You'll be eating them next year. #GetCovered." Classy as always. And completely wrong-headed as usual. Less than three months into 2014, how's dutiful Debbie and her Dear Leader's pet government takeover program doing? The most recent retreat measures -- call it the Obamacare Endangered 2014 Midterm Democrats' Rescue Plan -- include: --Allowing insurers for two extra years to continue...

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz said in November that Democrats would enthusiastically run on Obamacare in the mid-term elections and it would be a winning issue, however it appears that Democratic candidates have not gotten the memo and are attempting to distance themselves from Obamacare rather than embrace it. Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said in November, “You’re darn right that our candidates are going to run on the advantage that Obamacare will be going into the 2014 election. The choice will be very clear.” **SNIP** However, individual candidates who know they have to face the voters in November appear to...
