While the Army and Marine Corps bear the brunt of warfare in the Middle East, leaders of the Navy are looking west. In a sweeping report on the nation's long-range defense needs, released yesterday in Washington, D.C., Pentagon leaders laid out plans for transforming the military to fight terrorist organizations.
