The family of an Israeli soldier now under investigation after shooting a wounded terrorist has filed a complaint with the police after receiving death threats. Relatives of the soldier reported that a man with a discernibly Arabic accent called them on Saturday, making threatening statements and revealing private information about the family. On Thursday, two terrorists attacked an IDF soldier station in Hevron, stabbing him in the upper torso. Both terrorists were neutralized. As the wounded soldier was being carried away by paramedics, one of the neutralized terrorists began to move, leading several people at the scene to express concern....

Two terrorists broke into the community of Eli, located in the Mateh Binyamin region, early Wednesday morning, where they attacked one of the local residents with a knife and clubs before fleeing the scene. The lightly wounded man was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem with cuts in the head. Security forces who were called to the scene located the two terrorists a short time later and killed them. Forces then conducted large searches to make sure no additional terrorists were present. During the searches a handgun was found outside the town on the path the terrorists used...

After seeing FOX News commentator Bill O'Reilly's efforts to help severely wounded United States military veterans regain their mobility with all-terrain track wheelchairs, Richard Hotes was so moved by the gesture that he decided to help. Hotes Foundation volunteers created an obstacle course and, with the help of injured veterans, tested more than 10 types of track chairs. When none of the vehicles met the veterans' expectations, volunteers chose the best available option and worked on a complete redesign with the chairs' manufacturer. After a year of development and testing, a suitable track chair was created and Hotes Foundation volunteers...

DES MOINES, Iowa – A fairly well-known anti-gun sheriff seems to have shot himself in the hand on Wednesday night while cleaning his firearm. Des Moines County Sheriff Mike Johnstone negligently discharged a round into his left hand, and was subsequently transported to the hospitals emergency room. His injury has been described by medical personnel as non-life threatening, but a hand surgeon was called in to assist. According to the Iowa Firearms Coalition, Johnstone has advocated for more and more gun-free zones. But perhaps Johnstone is most well-known for his statement from 5 years ago. When Iowa’s concealed carry law...

Hadassah Medical Center issued an update Sunday morning on the conditions of the terror victims currently being treated at Hadassah Ein Kerem and Hadassah Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. The 20-year-old IDF soldier who was stabbed by an Arab terrorist in Hevron on Saturday evening is now in light condition after undergoing surgery overnight. Two patients remain hospitalized after suffering wounds in the brutal knife and gun attack on Tuesday aboard a bus traveling in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood. A 76-year-old man remains in critical condition from that attack, while a 69-year-old woman's condition has been defined as moderate. A 79-year-old...

News of America’s military men and women were wounded and killed in Iraq and Afghanistan almost overwhelmed me on some days. I may have sounded strong when I was talking to the press, but sometimes I had to push my feelings way down in order to get any words out of my mouth to make statements and answer questions. The hardest days were when President Bush went to visit the wounded or families of the fallen. If it was tough for me, you can only imagine what it was like for the families and for a president who knew that...

One is said to be in a critical condition, and it is thought at least one of the planes was damaged. South Sudan has blamed the attack on renegade troops. Officials said the aircraft were heading to Bor, the capital of the state of Jonglei and the scene of some of the country's worst violence in the past week. After being fired at the planes turned around and headed to Kampala in Uganda. From there the wounded service personnel were flown...

Vice President Joe Biden misstated the number of troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan by 47,000 at a Veterans Day event today at Arlington National Cemetary. Here´s audio of his remarks: "Every day for the last six years, I ask my staff early in the morning to contact the Department of Defense to get a detailed report of the number of troops deployed, the number wounded, and the number killed. Not a general number; the exact number every day," said the vice president. "Because for every one of those warriors there´s an entire family, extended family, back in America that...

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Dar Place was two feet away when his friend and fellow soldier took his own life during the Gulf War. Two decades later, like so many other veterans, Place is still haunted by the plague of suicide in the military. “I personally saw my driver after Desert Storm in his tank put a gun underneath his mouth and pull the trigger, while I was no further away from him than I am from you right now,” Place told the Washington Free Beacon at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. He was one of the...
