When the Federal government is the largest employer in the State of Virginia, there is no way in hell they are going to 'remove themselves from the Union.' You have to be smoking some kind of crack to think it's a possibility.

Obama himself has said that he think parts of the constitution are antiquated (his 'negative rights statement during the campaign) intimating that he thinks parts can be ignored.
Your philosophy would give those enemies of individual liberty a very powerful weapon.
And don't say it will never happen to Ol' Virginia. Forty years ago, no one would have guessed that strong Conservative states like California or Vermont would have turned into leftist insane asylums.
The Constitution is our only guard against them. Forget about defending Jeff Davis and Bobby Lee. They don't need your help. Defend the Constitution with you very life and don't broach the nonsense that it can be ignored for political convenience or popular whim. In the end, the Constitution is all we have.
