Stephen Harper for President (in a trade with Barack Obama going to Canada)

What if I were to tell you that there is a potential Presidential candidate who has shown an ability to win multiple national elections, consistently stands up in international bodies for America's interests and those of our allies, and had the guts to embarrass the Chinese by refusing to come to the monstrous opening Olympic ceremonies in Beijing, the one which made Nazi "artist" Leni Riefenstahl blush?

While in office he has supported the war in Afghanistan, and increased military spending in a dangerous and unpredictable world. He cut aid to the Palestinians when Hamas took over the Gaza Strip. He has criticized the economic suicide of the one-sided Kyoto Treaty, and has pushed through immigration reform that actually makes it easier for the well-educated and well-trained to come in instead of the immigrants who are bound to end up on welfare.

Best of all, this conservative war-horse is hated by the media. Who is this heroic figure? None other than Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. I know, you are thinking it is impossible as he was not born in America. I would have thought that an obstacle a few years ago, but hear me out.

In 2008, America elected a man as President who was not clearly born here. In other words, at that time it was unproven whether or not he was eligible to be President, but the media took him at his word.

Since then President Obama has convinced many that he was indeed born in Hawaii, but that is beside the point. One common argument made on the Left was that even if it could be proven after the fact that Obama was born outside of the US, there would be no remedy once elected, and indeed no individual or state would have standing to sue to remove him from office. That was the crux of the Obama lawyers argument before they released the documents a month or so back, under the grinding pressure of Donald Trump.

Well, what if Harper were to say that he was born in Cleveland (in a swing state) and refuse to provide proof? What could anyone say if Harper were then to win the election?

We are now one step closer to the dream ticket of Harper-Netanyahu in 2012. Finally, two pro-American patriots on the ticket.

Sounds good.. give me a couple of minutes. Cleveland you say? Ah! Here it is. I.. uh found his COLB. I'm pretty sure that Limbaugh's technical people have Netanyahu's COLB.

One thing for sure.

We definitely need an American in the White House who does not demand ALL the lottery money and accolades before s/he can feel proud of America.

How much did Michelle demand to have to be proud of America?

Raised in middle class surroundings, a brother I believe who is head couch at a major university, given preference and degrees at esteemed universities, given a six-figure income as her husband moved into influential political positions -- STILL NOT ENOUGH!

When damn near a shoo-in as the president and first lady THEN she deigned to state that for the first time she was proud of America.

Go to hell, Michelle.

absolutely!

and yes, i’d rather vote for Harper or Netanyahu, before I’d vote for a Marxist who hates America, even if he IS born in Hawaii.

but the flip side? If Canada is smart enough to reelect Harper, and recently give conservatives even more seats, then they are WAY too smart to allow Obama to be in charge of ANYTHING.

i can’t even imagine, the MSM howling, if Laura Bush had said and done half the things Michelle did.
...praise a “poet” named Common, who advocates cop-killing, and invites him to the White House?
...multi-million dollars vacations to Spain, etc., while millions of Americans are unemployed and on food stamps?

(or the media reaction, if President Bush, had delayed getting bin Laden, for 16 hours, while he “slept” on it?!?)

Funny, I was just thinking the other day, as I have been following events in Canada, that that used to be the supposed go-to place for Liberals supposedly fed-up with our supposedly rotten nation.

But Canada just may become the go-to place for Conservatives if things don’t turn around here before too long.

Sorry, we need him, you can't have him.

Enough Canadians (only 39% actually, but it was enough) came to their senses in the last election to give Harper a majority government. The bar is much higher for you.

“Sorry, we need him, you can’t have him.”

Hmmm . . . tell you what I am going to do. We will throw into the trade Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Don’t talk like that, you don’t have too many allies left.

And Obama is making sure we lose the ones we have!

Sorry, but the truth is Harper won by abandoning most core conservative values. He now no longer wants to reign in state sanctioned censorship visa vis the Human Rights Tribunals. In fact he is pushing through legislation to criminalize linking to “hate” websites. I actually am more scared of the CPC than I was of the Liberals.
