"Texas Gov. Rick Perry brushed off the choice of over 150 Evangelical leaders and conservative activists to endorse Rick Santorum on Saturday after meeting in the governor's backyard and proclaimed that he intends to continue his campaign on to Florida, even if he places last in South Carolina." Perry Says He Intends to Continue to Florida

It seems the Texas meeting was done for show and a headline:

Santorum endorsers need to issue joint statement and quickly (not so cohesive)

I wonder if Romney is financing his campaign now?

“Perry: On to Florida...”

I’m not sure his strategy of writing off each state as they come up will get him the nomination, but it will CERTAINLY help Romney a lot.

What do Perry folks believe Santorum should do if he comes in Third behind Gingrich and Romney?

Good. Candidates need to give the voters a chance to vote for them, and not be quitters.

With each day he stays in, Perry looks more and more desperate- and more and more a stalking horse for Romney.

It’s over Gov. Perry and you have no one to blame but yourself.

Perry is my Gov. I like him as my Gov. He’s a good guy with good intentions but he’s looked really goofy sometimes running for Pres. and I don’t see him getting over 10% ever. I hope he withdraws and endorses Newt or Santorum quickly.

A President For Our Time---by Rebecca Winterowd

Wonder how many others that are in this race have songs written and sung for them as Rick Perry does?

Perry staying in despite having no chance to win is “insurance” for Romney, no doubt.

Last week I was put out with Perry over the "vulture capitalism" dust up but he redeemed himself this am on CNN.

Crowley tried to corner him over the four marines, horror of horrors, urinating on those dead Taliban.

Perry told her they are young men and these kinds of things happen. He pointed out there is a photo of Patton urinating in the Rhine river and reports Churchill did the same thing.

Perry said he would be OK with a reprimand but the Obama administration wants to charge them with a crime and he's opposed to that.

Go, Rick Perry, this guy would be our best president.

Why on earth would those "evangelicals" endorse Santorum? Why? Santorum was good on life issues but Perry has defunded Planned Parenthood and just this week, a bill signed by Perry requiring a woman have a sonogram before an abortion was upheld.

Perry has proven his commitment to protecting life and he's a proven conservative. Santorum is no conservative--just look at his voting record.

Before reading any posts here, I know I am gonna be seriously ticked off after I read them.

I am trying to remember my pledge this morning not to respond to stupidity.

We’ll see if I hold up.

I’m glad he plans to stay in the race at least for Florida. Florida has a closed primary which should give us some good numbers. I fear SC open primary will be tainted by dems.
